Disaster Strikes

My Windows SSD died on me and with it all personal folders. I was stupid to keep my project files in there and even more stupid to not make backups. I'm currently attempting for the 3rd time to restore the files. Then I will have to manually install everything. This will throw me back weeks, which will reduce the update schedule a bit, though I still have some clips in the backlog, luckily.

But even my reinstalled Windows is giving me trouble. The task bar and search bar aren't reacting, and when transferring files, they were deleted entirely in one case.
If there are any IT wizards here, I'd be happy for suggestions. I'm 99% sure the hardware is not broken.

I was able to get it back from this drive. Two other SSD drives are gone for good, can't even access them anymore. I even tried with an external SSD reader, they're gone. Luckily, this was the most important one. I now have triple backups of everything. I'm 99% sure there's an issue with my motherboard damaging drives. I lost a total of 3 SSDs since I have this motherboard. For now I'm only using SATA and USB drives, and come the new CPU generation, I'll probably get an all new computer.

Are you sure that the data is wiped ? Sometimes difficult to determine if files not recognized by file manager or if actually wiped. Maybe look for recovery / maintenance tool issued by SSD manufacturer. Check their "support" section of their website. I use Samsung SSD and their tool has saved me.

I tried, it didn't work sady. The SSD got wiped out (this is the third now, I'm starting to think my motherboard is broken)

Did you try to reset Windows. You will not lose any of you files.
