Asking for assistance
Added 2020-01-11 21:36:40 +0000 UTCI am sorry to bother you with this, and will remove the post by the end of the month. My situation has turned quite dire. Long story short: the doctors in my country want to remove a perfectly healthy organ which no longer functions due to a nerve injury. I have read studies that nerve injuries like mine can be treated, but it's not a standard procedure. Do any of you have relatives or friends working in an academic clinic / university hospital? Preferably in the US or in Europe.
Particularly gastroenterologists or neuro- / microsurgeons. If so, please write me. It's very urgent.

I was lucky that some folks reached out to me, and I'll try to do what I can to prevent them from having to remove my stomach. Even though at this point that's at a 95% probability. Still, 5% are better odds than I had before, and worth fighting for.
