I have not lost interest in the historical topic, I actually have a lot of blanks, hundreds of unfinished paintings, and there were many ideas, projects ahead, there was even a comic book (it was planned for 4-5 pages) about an Indian eunuch general who became a sultan, the only eunuch sultan in the history of the Delhi Sultanate. But when I started getting very negative reviews and even accusations (that I "glorify cruel tyrants" and "glorify slavery, castration, pedophilia and violence", and that my images of eunuchs are "transphobic, homophobic" or vice versa "heterophobic" and contrary to social norms, although I did not want to touch the negative aspect of the story at all), I really thought that I was doing something wrong, it was a lot of stress for me for many years. I tried to explain to people that I just want to portray the androgynous beauty of eunuchs, explore a unique theme in history that has been left unaddressed on the positive side, and that I do not pursue any political/religious ideas, I am for human rights, and I am for freedom of expression and freedom of creativity. But few seemed to hear. People used hate speech just to hate. People hate and fear what they don't understand. I'm very tired of this. So I decided to look for other topics like androids, AI, science fiction, and then superheroes, back to Marvel, "normal men" and "healthy relationships". Something familiar and comfortable for most people. Indeed, negative reviews, criticism and condemnation (not to mention cyberbullying, insults, harassment, etc.) have become many times less. Now, when I think about returning to the eunuchs, I remember with a shudder all the terrible experience and I become afraid. On the other hand, I hope that the people who follow my work have now also grown up and become more understanding. I really hope so, although I'm still not sure.
