JOHN'S REVENGE! That dog death was horrible to watch :(

Thank you to Dimitri for the movie request :) Next movie reaction will be to Star Wars: Episode IV.

MINI REVIEW: I really liked this movie and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't just a typical Action movie but had lots of emotional scenes that let us viewers relate to the main character. At the beginning of the movie, the director chose to use in medias res which is showing a much later scene and then showing us the beginning of the plot that led up to that conclusion. That was beautifully done. The movie explores John's trauma with how his wife dies from an illness and then John getting violently assaulted at his own home by some psycho scumbags to the point where his dog also got killed just because John refused to give away his car...that whole beginning was sad. I appreciate the director choosing to make John a more humane type of killer rather than a purely cold blooded killer.

Due to the assault that took place, John decides to take matters into his own hands by returning to his former lifestyle as a trained killer to kill Iosef. The action scenes were beautifully choreographed and the soundtrack complimented the plot. However, I was pretty disappointed that Iosef got such a quick and merciful death..I felt like John was more savage towards Iosef's men compared to Iosef himself.

Apart from that, this was a well-balanced movie of action and emotional drama. Overall, it was enjoyable.
