*EARLY ACCESS* Durarara: Season 1 Episodes 1, 2 and 3 Reaction

THE HEADLESS BIKER SAVES RIO, RIO’S SUICIDE ATTEMPT AND SHIZUO VS IZAYA! Mikado meets his childhood friend Masaomi when he arrives at Ikebukuro to later attend his new Academy. Masaomi gives Mikado a tour of the city whilst informing him about avoiding certain dangerous people like Izaya, Shizuo and the Dollars gang. Meanwhile, a girl called Rio decides to meet a supposedly innocent online friend called Nakura. She meets a man who claims to be Nakura and he lures her into a van only for his whole gang to kidnap her. As they drive off, the headless biker chases after them and smashes one of the gang member’s heads against a wall using its motorcycle. The biker then attacks the others. The driver manages to take off the biker’s helmet but inside is revealed that the biker is in fact headless. The biker then conjures a scythe using its own dark chakra and it slashes the driver. Afterwards, the biker rescues the girl and takes her to a rooftop. In the next episode, Mikado has his first day at the new Academy but a flashback is shown of Rio texting Nakura about her father cheating on her mother which makes her depressed. On the rooftop, Rio meets Izaya who confesses that he created the whole kidnapping incident but also, the rescue. He shows her the blood left of past suicidal victims from below the rooftop and unsympathetically, tells her how boring and immature she is. Rio’s backstory is also shown. This backstory depicts young Rio with darker hair who just found out about her father’s outrageous affair with another woman after seeing a few photos. Young Rio is left upset, distraught and unable to do or say anything as she continues to have conversations with her parents. Rio later becomes depressed over how dysfunctional her family is and contemplates suicide. 

In the present, Rio still decides to commit suicide after meeting Izaya but she is saved by the biker again. The biker tells her that the world is not as bad as she thinks. Rio walks home and the biker asks Izaya if he is responsible for all the other suicide deaths to which he denies. In the third episode, Anri who is one of Mikado’s classmates gets bullied by a bunch of girls in a street. Mikado feels like intervening but hesitates until Izaya forces him to intervene and Izaya smashes one of the girl’s phones. Then, the girl’s boyfriend Hiroshi tries to intimidate Izaya only for Izaya to shave some of his hair off. Masaomi tries to introduce Mikado to Izaya but Shizuo throws a huge trash can at Izaya. Shizuo is angry that Izaya is here but before the fight could begin, Hiroshi and his gang surround them and one of them hits Shizuo with a baseball bat. Shizuo beats them all up and is revealed as the violence incarnate due to his violent nature. Simon stops Shizuo and blocks his incoming punch. Due to the distraction, Izaya manages to escape and Mikado and Anri run off together in a nearby park.
