*EARLY ACCESS* THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 1 EPISODE 2 REACTION

RICK JOINS A TEAM OF SURVIVORS AND THEY ESCAPE FROM THE DEPARTMENT STORE! Another great episode but I felt so sick inside when I saw Rick chop that poor dead guy up so that they can cover themselves in his guts to blend in with the zombies WTF. Firstly, Rick is trapped inside a tank in the middle of a street full of zombies but receives a call from a nearby survivor. The survivor advises Rick to make a run for it to the ladder in the alleyway which is where he is. So Rick carries a handgun and opens the roof of the tank. He shoots the nearby zombies and runs for it eventually meeting Glenn, the survivor who was on the phone. They both climb up a ladder and find zombies outside the department store. Other survivors come out to bash the zombies in the heads with their bats and Rick enters the department store with them. Rick is immediately greeted with a gun pointing at his head by an angry woman blaming him for their future deaths because Rick attracted the zombies to the department store because of his gun shooting. Although in the end, the woman decides not to shoot him but they all hear shooting from the rooftop. Merle is shooting several zombies from afar attracting more zombies to their location. T-Dog tells him off and Merle throws him racist insults and beats him up. The other survivors try to stop Merle from killing him and Rick handcuffs Merle to a pipe. Also, the survivors from Atlanta including Rick’s wife Lori, their son and Rick’s partner Shane are still in the haven that they’re in and Shane and Lori make love believing that Rick is dead. Later, they receive a distress signal from T-Dog who is trying to find other nearby survivors through a walkie talkie and tells them that they’re trapped in a department store. However, Shane tells Amy who is one of the survivors’ younger sister that she cannot go out there and save them because she’ll only get killed herself. 

Meanwhile, the zombies outside of the department store are trying to break in, almost breaking the windows of the main entrance so the survivors think about escaping through the sewers. So Glenn and Morales descend to the tunnel but only to find a dead end with a zombie on the other side so they come back up to inform the others that there isn’t a way out through the sewers. So the survivors plan to get one of the dead zombies from outside to chop up into pieces after figuring out that zombies are only attracted to fresh blood but not zombie blood. So Rick grotesquely chops up the poor dead guy and they cover themselves in his guts to mask their human scent. Rick and Glenn then walk amongst the zombies completely undetectable by them whilst they head to a large truck. However, it starts to rain excessively which eventually washes off the blood and guts on Rick and Glenn making the zombies notice and run after them. So Rick and Glenn run to the fence, climb it and get into the truck. Rick drives the truck and tells Glenn to drive another car to distract the zombies from Rick’s goal to escape with the other survivors. Rick alerts the other survivors to come down from the roof of the department store, ready to escape with their bags of clothes. Merle begs the others to release him from his handcuffs and T-Dog tries to release him but trips which makes the handcuff key fall into the drain hole. So T-Dog apologises and leaves him behind but locks the door for his protection. The survivors safely escape to the truck and they all drive away with Glenn following behind with his car.
