MAKOTO TIME LEAPS AND FINDS OUT CHIAKI IS A TIME LEAPER TOO!

Wow, I absolutely loved this film. It's a great time travelling adventure that also has romantic and science fiction elements. Makoto is a high school female student who at the beginning of this film, is very clumsy and not incredibly academically gifted but she is also part of a baseball club with her two male friends, Chiaki and Kousuke. However, after stumbling upon a cool Science room and a strange device, Makoto accidentally leaps through time via the time vortex but she doesn't quite understand what happened. Makoto finds herself late to class so she rides her bike down a dangerous slope that leads to a train track. As the train approaches, Makoto panics as she wants to stop but her handbrakes don't work so she almost falls to her death. Until, Makoto time leaps before she gets hit allowing her to rewind a few minutes back where she is still alive. Makoto consults her Auntie called Witch about this and Witch tells her that she's a Time Leaper. So Makoto plans to use her new time leaping ability to pass her test by going through it again, not setting her cooking on fire like last time and fixing any embarrassing moments. Although Witch warns her that there may be consequences to her actions. 

On a bike ride with Chiaki, Chiaki asks Makoto out shocking Makoto so much that she rewinds the moment so many times until he changed the subject. After so many attempts at trying to change the subject, Chiaki still asks her out so Makoto decides to be distant with him and doesn't attend their baseball matches either. So Chiaki starts getting close with Yuri who likes Chiaki and Makoto gets jealous.  However, Makoto runs into many problems including Kousuke and his girlfriend almost getting killed by a train. Kousuke and his girlfriend ride together on a bike down the same dangerous slope that leads to an active train track. When the train approaches, Makoto shouts through her lungs to Kousuke to stop his bike from riding but he loses control and both him and his girlfriend almost get hit by the incoming train. However, Makoto's cries for him to stop activates her time freezing ability just on time before they get hit by the train allowing Makoto to save them. Although, during the time freeze, Chiaki confesses to Makoto that he's also a Time Leaper but has run out of time leaps like she has and that he's from the future. Chiaki explains that he came to her time era to see a painting but he lost the time travelling device and ran out of time leaps too and disappears. However, they both get one more round to time leap allowing Makoto to see Chiaki again and he promises her at the end that he will return to her time to see her again.
