October 2020 Update Part 2 - Good News, Better News and Great News!

Alright, so I'm a wee bit late getting this update out. I had to do a bit of soul searching this month as I realized that the team was stuck in diamond storytelling that, no matter which way we went, it all ended right back at us needing a programmer to be able to do anything. No matter the project, no mater the ideas, no matter how much we simplified things, it all dead ended at us needing a programmer. We were hard at work trying to figure out the future of Tierwach and what we could accomplish with our limited resources when we finally got, not just one break but two.

Last week we had not one but TWO new people join the team! Saki_Sliz came first, hopping on board as a programmer. He's been a godsend right out of the gate. ManicCat joined up a couple of days later as the Sound Tech. He, too, came out ready to go and a batting a thousand. Both of these new members have spent hours streaming and working on their respective trades and they haven't even been here a week! Since they have joined us and brought with them a fresh outlook on the future, I went ahead and reorganized the team a bit.

Whitepulse has been given the go ahead and start working on the official battle arts. Remember the ones we used in Pokemorph? The front, horny and back poses? Those were battle arts. Up until now we've only been working on Tier and Handler concepts but he's been given the A-OK to start making the official arts for them. 

I asked Ninjician what he specifically wanted to work on, sprite wise. He's opted to dedicate himself to character and Tier sprites. He, too, has been given the go ahead to start working on those. I've already made a couple of ads looking for an additional 2D spritemaster to work specifically on overworld sprites (environments, buildings, etc).

I'll be wrapping up some WIPs, doing random arts and pumping out some Handler concepts myself until we get closer to engine completion, then I'll be working on developing the story.

Meanwhile, Deddmane is remaining just as drop dead sexy as ever. Seriously, he's nothing but a bag of bones.


Moving forward, anything official will be shared with patrons first (official arts, sprites, music, ideas, etc) first, on here and on discord (via the #patron_chat). After a week or two we'll move it into the more public #share_content. Don't worry, we'll still be using the latter channel to show off WIP concepts.

Once again, and as always, thank you all for your continued support and patience! It's feeling like it has finally paid off. Here's to looking towards a bright future for Tierwach!

Edit 2: Also forgot to mention I updated the patreon page. I couldn't get the graphics to embed correctly so it's still missing the images. I'm still trying to figure out why it wasn't working.
