No Valentine Picture!
Added 2017-02-16 18:38:37 +0000 UTCBooo! Yes, I know. We suck.
If I would have thought about it, we would have made something special for V-Day but when I wasn't busy at work I was suffering through sickness on my couch...so no pictures. Most of the team is pretty much in the same boat right now.
However, I would like to propose a couple of options as far as content access goes.
Option A) Discord! I have recently discovered this blessed, blessed creation. This would allow direct access with the team and even give us a place to post pictures directly. I think even docs can be put on there too. I'll have to research it a bit more but it looks promising.
Pros:
Easy to set up!
Direct contact with the team. Literally, it's a chat app.
Can upload and share pictures through it. Maybe even documents too!
Free and easy to use!
It's like twitter but without all of the annoying people on it! No, seriously, we can give live updates through it.
Cons:
No private channels which means everyone will have the same amount of access when it comes to content. However, we'll likely have a side folder in dropbox just for the upper tiers.
Harder to maintain as far as getting access goes and distributing content.
Real time chat based. Old content may get lost easily.
Option B) A dropbox tier system. This will likely be a big hassle to pull off and maintain but it's the only other option I can think of right now. Basically it's an inception deal; a folder, within a folder, within a folder. Each tier gets their own folder in which they'll find the information they're privvy to. Top tier having the most access, lowest tier having limited access.
Pros:
Also free and easy to use!
Allows a better system for getting the right access to the right tiers. Folder links can be reset at any time.
Can hold content for much longer on a semi-permanent basis which will make viewing older content easier to do.
Will be much more difficult to set up but easier to maintain.
Cons:
Only allows direct access to the team for upper tiers.
Will be a nightmare to set up but might be worth it in the end.
