2025-03-15 07:23:59 +0000 UTCTo be honest, I would miss the survival shows. These have always been one of my favourite parts of this patreon and were in fact the initial reason why I subscribed here. And there's still a number of shows I have my eyes on and that I would love to watch with you. Like The Second World, Peak Time, Girls Reverse (afaik those three are also quite different from most of what we've watched so far), the remaining seasons of Produce etc. Ultimately it's up to you and if you want to take a break from survival shows, adding a third TV show would be a good option. I'm also of a similar opinion as Crispy Chicken. As in: I personally wouldn't make the third show a K-Drama specifically. I kinda feel like THREE Kdramas at the same time would be a bit much, no? I'd consider doing something a bit different with that third slot, like a western TV show or an anime, something like that. Just to provide a bit more variety and balance. - The Goblin and the Reaper coming in to make the thugs feel their rhythm - What the fuck could be the reason for censoring a goddamn gold bar? Netflix, explain yourselves. - Was that iKON on the TV there? It looks like Bobby. - IT IS IKON! Man, I'm good. - Wait what, are they implying that Bobby might be that ancient king reincarnated? - And now we got Produce 101, alright. - Oh, that is clever. We think the patient that's being rushed into the hospital is the one that's dying, but it's in fact the doctor. Very nicely done. - This is what we call Fuck Around and Find Out, Deok-hwa. Get used to it. - „Did I get lured in by meat and get caught in a trap with this juice?“ Honestly, the jokes write themselves 😅 - What the hell kinda being is Sunny that she can make the Grim Reaper cry with her mere presence? - I'll be honest, I'd also be VERY overwhelmed if Yoo In-na stood before me and demanded my number - School bullies are bad for sure but abusive power-tripping teachers are truly another level of evil. - Humans have four lives, huh? There's another show that taught me that humans live three lives. But maybe you'll watch that show someday so I won't spoil that here 😋 - I think she really is seeing the sword here. - I really liked this episode. It did a lot to develop our three main characters. And as cute as Eun-tak may be, they never let us forget how difficult her life really is. Which is important to giving her character proper depth.

I personally don’t watch many of the survival shows. I mostly watching everything else you post. Side note: I cannot wait for the next episode. When I first watched this episode, I was so hyped to get into the next one to see the rest of this clip. The ring belonged to the Queen from the flashbacks., idk if you missed that part or not, but they show the ring on her hand when she gets killed. That’s all that has been shown, the rest will make sense in time.

The survival shows are a no for me, it's rare to watch one and if I do it, I have to skip a lot, I don't have the patience and idk, there are many boring moments... I wouldn't mind a new kdrama, hopefully it will be one that I like too because I had to drop Newtopia. With a kdrama, it's good that there it's variety, you don't have to stick with a theme. You can pick a short one like A shop for killers, it's really popular and it has 8 episodes, no matter how many reactors watched it, I will never get bored to watch it again, Lee Dong Woo (Grim Reaper) is the main character. Or a light one like My Demon or Welcome to Waikiki (the funniest kdrama that I watched in my entire life). There are so many good ones.

TLDR: personally, I would like anything BUT another kdrama 😬 I'm not the biggest KDRAMA fan. If I watch one, it's usually because of either: 1. It contains action (usually swordfighting in historical kdrama's), or 2. there are 1 or more idols in them, and even then the "romance/drama/acting" may dissuade me. Although I understand your fatigue to SURVIVAL SHOWS, there are still a few I would like to see you react to, for example: - Girls on Fire 🔥 I've only seen a few performances, but damn, they were great. It's a show where any singer of any genre could apply. So I expect really great vocals and a more mature show. Some of the judges are Eunji (APink) and Young K (Day 6) - Girls Re:Verse 🤖 If you can look past the 3D graphics, and get acquainted with who's who, this is actually a good, chill but also very funny survival show. Yes, "fun" and "survival" in 1 sentence, how rare is that? Swapping the survival show with VARIETY CONTENT also sounds like a great plan to me 😁 Every variety poll so far (last one was 4 months ago) has had soooo many great options I would like you to react to. Ppl are giving a lot of options must mean there's a demand there, right? With various idols: - Earth Arcade - Knowing Bros - Amazing Saturday - Idol On Quiz. Various idols compete with and against each other. Hosts are Hyungdon (Weekly Idol), and Sungkyu (Queendom1 host). Also with Jongmin (Koyote). - Sixth Sense. Another show with/by Yoo Jae-suk. Quite similar to Busted but more fun/accessible imo. - Super Junior also had a great show where they compete against a different idol group each episode in various games. And Super Junior are always hilarious. - etc With 1 idol/group: - Badge Wars (tripleS) - Learn Way (Yuqi s1, Mijoo s2) - Soshi TamTam (SNSD) - Agents of Mystery (Hyeri and Karina) - etc And lastly, there are shows that are a bit IN-BETWEEN (aren't really survival but aren't really variety either): - Unpretty Rapstar Watch the origin of Jessie's "this is a competition" famous line, or watch Soyeon go off. The vibe is similar to SWF, which is not my fav, but I would still watch it again 😅 - Second World (idol rappers who want to sing). With Moonbyul, Mimi (Oh My Girl), Jimin (AOA), Exy (WJSN) to name a few 😎 - Hangout With Yoo Yes, this show is variety, but there are also some groups/artists that came from this show (Refund Sisters, SSAK3, MSG Wannabe, WSG Wannabe). I've watched and liked the episodes for WSG Wannabe and it starts with a small form of audition/elimination, so, a bit of survival as well 😅 - Miss Back - etc

Certain things you are supposed to notice but maybe because they were so fleeting on other episodes u might have missed it. The girl can always see the sword. From the get go she knew he wasn’t human. Also the ring was the one the slayed queen was wearing when she was killed so already bad juju right there. As for the grim reapers none can remember their past lives but are reapers to atone for the past behavior. Though hospitals are for healing many people die on them hence the group gathering in there. So that’s just a refresher of things u may have missed in past episodes. I hope I was able to clarify without digging to deep or spoiling anything sometimes when I see u asking, all I’m thinking is “but that’s a spoiler “ 😂 Now on the last topic… a third kdrama is great and it does go really fast when u think about it. Some kdramas can be 8-12-16 or 20 episodes it depends if the story requires it. U can try maybe doing a short one and two regular longer length ones (meaning number of episodes not running time) What I mean is with kdramas u got flexibility in genre, length, popularity and classic vs new etc. Whatever u decide we will be here watching as always. 2025-03-11 12:38:03 +0000 UTC-The way Goblin slammed Deok-hwa's selfie on the ground, you'd think that he was the one who murdered his entire clan and not the king and his prick aide xD -Most of the stuff in the show wasn't censored the first time I watched it too. This is just my guess, but I think it could be because it was first aired in TVN (korean channel), so they probably have the rights/permission to use every product or video that was broadcasted? If you're watching from an overseas streaming site then they might not have it. -It's great to see someone who hates the teacher as much as I do, I swear I've met a few like her back in school ugh -I really like the use of umbrellas in this drama, it's a nice symbolism of Eun-tak's wish to find a shelter/home in her life, and Goblin being the one to provide her with that. -The relationship between Grim Reaper and Sunny will be explained as you watch, so yeah you're supposed to be kept in the dark for now ;) Personally I don't have an opinion on whether you should start a new kdrama or variety show, I just watch whatever I like on random lol. One thing though - Street Woman Fighter S3 is starting on May, just thought it might be something in your radar since you already watched the first two seasons!

If Queendom 3 ever happens I'll want you to start up survival shows again but continuing to go back through every single survival show that has happened over the years doesn't seem like a good use of your time. You've already hit all of the big ones. I never thought I'd hear someone call Kdrama episodes short but in comparison to 2:30 hour survival show episodes I guess your right :) You were right that he was trying to kill himself but according to the lore they established in episode 1 the sword has to be removed not inserted. Since it appears to be stuck it's hard to tell from just looking if he's trying to push it in or pull it out. I really liked the grim reaper in this episode. At this point he's my favorite character. Him leaning on the car was so funny. I didn't know grim reapers are people who sinned so badly that they're being eternally punished but they don't know why. I'm intrigued to find out his backstory if we ever do. I was confused why there were so many grim reapers hanging out on that bench until I realized they were all at a hospital. Since they introduced that someone else is going to take over the missing souls I believe that our grim reaper is really on our side now. I feel like this is the first time I saw an kdrama that literally played m count down and produce 101. If Choi Yoojung wronged me in a past life I forgive her :) I've also never heard of the horse blood thing. Although I'm not familiar with the Korean concept of goblins only the western fantasy goblins. I remember Euntak's mom got the ring from the grandma in the first episode. So I assumed that maybe she needed to get the jade ring to be able to see the sword but I guess not. There must be some kind of curse on the ring. The grim reaper crying suddenly after seeing it makes me think it's probably related to his backstory. He doesn't remember but he feels it. I'm excited to see more of them together.
