Not saying this to challenge Story Junkie, just to express a differing opinion. The slower pace doesn't bother me that much. I didn't notice the pattern of declining upload rate. My assumption about shorter uploads was that Egg's making time for his new story or just needed a break. He's been one of the more consistent authors I've followed, in terms of writing quality + upload speed, so I didn't mind it much. I've always treated this series like something of a sitcom. The xanxia world is a backdrop for raunchy skits/jokes. The progression through cultivation realms and major historical events adds tension but isn't the central appeal for me. I've read a number of xanxia and no longer find raw progression very interesting. The exotic physiques, the domineering advancement speed, the Immortal path, and the increasing absurd multiplies are all like rice. They give the meal body, but lack spice. The spice comes from the romcom/drama elements, making the story unique and enjoyable. Egg is branching out and working on a new story. I'm very curious to see what he comes up with, given how experienced he is. If he has less time to work here due to splitting his focus, I would not complain.

Guilt trip and emotional manipulation which eventually leads to the long cherished title of Dao Partner being relegated to being meaningless because everyone knows everyone. 3. Usual soft porn innuendos to keep us interested… sorry I loved this story but the shorten posting of chapters from initially 4 to 3 to 2 … with no real progress in the story in just 2 chapters posting pattern… will soon lose my support… I appreciate the lump sum when interest is peaked but that’s followed days of non posting that would still adhere to the 2 chapters per post pattern… I hope this changes soon
