2025-02-23 16:32:10 +0000 UTCAs a Goblin voter, I will admit that: 1. It's an old series. So cameras, cameratechniques, editing, etc are probably better in newer series. Also, newer series will probably have learned from this series in terms of acting, storytelling, music, etc. 2. It's a romantic drama. So there's usually less action and it's usually slowerpaced. It's also definitely not my favorite genre. But: 1. It is a classic. Dare I say, it's THE classic. Even today, a lot of ppl will still reference it, which will make DG the odd one out not having seen it. 2. A Goblin is interesting to me because in the west, a Goblin is either an enemy of Spiderman or it's a short, ugly, green fellow from Lord of the Rings. But in Korea it is something totally different. And personally, I like to learn about Korean culture. There also quite a few k-pop songs referencing it: CLC - Hobgoblin (actually Goblin) A.C.E - Goblin ALL(H)OURS - Goblin (Shock) Xikers - Tricky House (actually Goblin house) Etc. 3. Although it isn't difficult to find another (maybe better) series with Gong Yoo (the recruiter from Squid Game), I think it would be nice to see DG react to Lee Dong-wook (the dentist from Hell Is Other People) and the dynamics between a goblin and a death god π

2025-02-23 15:42:39 +0000 UTCI agree. It's good and I've watched it multiple times in the past, but there are so many better options out right now. All Of Us Are Dead was really great! I'm disappointed in the constant delays of S2 so it'll be nice to watch it w/ someone who hasn't seen it.

2025-02-21 07:16:15 +0000 UTCvery surprising top three. the 3 dramas couldn't be further apart. surprised to see All of US are dead instead of Newtopia. but to be honest I prefer the vibe All of us are dead which is really one of the best Zombie series. Goblin is cult but personally I'm not a fan of the heroine. and Twinkling Watermelon is probably the biggest surprise in this ranking. I haven't seen the series so I have no idea what it's about.
