personally I don't accept any "excuse" or "reason" to stay in a game where you know full well that people are going to die. already after the first game there is no valid excuse but after the 2nd it is just unacceptable. no matter their level of debt, no matter how shitty their life is, voting to stay in this game is no longer just putting "your" life on the line but also putting that of those who want to leave too. in the first season there was only one vote and they had the good sense to leave and those who came back like Gi-hun really did it of their own free will. the others were able to leave the game. there whether it's Hyun-ju, Yong-sik or Jung-bae they have no excuse they have even less excuse than the others because they are fundamentally people who seem to have heart. as Gi-hun says they could all kill each other in the next game. Yoonsik could kill his mother, and Jung-bae could kill Jun-hee who is pregnant, and Hyun-ju could kill the only girl who calls him "Unnie" in his life. honestly these people drive me crazy. "one more game and I could pay my debts" get away. leave me along with this shit if I were Gi-hun I would be desperate. in real life the Front MAN has already won and Gi-hun has lost even if he managed to save the survivors and it's not won they would have already lost half of the participants -but as you say DG at least the "crypto guy" really tries to change. - so yes it's nice some people in this situation remain decent people like the grandmother, Gi-hun or Jun-hee. they are understanding, kind and the best of human beings only they are the easiest prey and risk paying for it with their lives. - the grandmother is probably my favorite character of the season even if I doubt she will survive at the end. - and precisely DG your speech would make sense and I would share it entirely if Hyun-ju or Yong-sik had voted to leave. only they no longer make any sense because Hyun-ju and Yong-sik betrayed the only people who love them factually and unless their team survives they will be responsible for the death of good people. and I would not see them differently than people like Thanos even if they did not have bad intentions at the base.

LOL no he slipped I don't see why he would have done a leg drop. - after everything he experienced and Il-nam's betrayal in season 1 I find it absurd that Gi-hun doesn't trust the Front man who took the place of player number 001. so Gi-hun doesn't know the face of the front man. but at least he should be wary of this number. - same Noeul's morality is really very low so yes she probably had a difficult life in North Korea but unlike Sae-byok in season 1 who had almost the same story she has no respect for the lives of others especially if they are South Korean. whereas Sae-byok was not a killer even to save her little brother or her own life. but yes several people think that she does this out of pity that if she did not finish them off they would suffer much more. and that may be the case but that does not take away from the fact that she is deliberately chosen to participate in this and that she knew that she was going to have to kill people. - I think that the front man entered the game to confront Gi-hun and show him that he can't do anything to change things. as you say DG we do not change the deep nature of someone humans are capable of the best as well as the worst. and this according to the context. and it turns out that the context of the game is perfect to show the worst of human nature. it turns out that money is a fuel even more than the fear of dying. all at least for one person out of 2 - Great DG you recognized Mujin-choi from My Name, this season is full of very cool actors. - for the organ trafficking let's say that from the point of view of the organizers and the second front man it has a goal to take a life to save another while Noeul is cold and mechanical she kills them to spare them from suffering. from this point of view I am on the side of the organizers if you kill someone you might as well do it to save someone else. the problem is that we know very well who will receive these organs probably notables and very rich people without any morality. so the point is "can you freely kill people in debt, poor and penniless people to save the parasites at the top". for those above we are waste and for us those above are parasites. - with this haircut and this color JO YURI really looks like Chaewon - I like the composition of the teams the Gy-hun team "the mid class the "rejected" team with a mother-son couple, an antisocial, a trans and a shaman. the "thug" team with Thanos and his underlings. each of these teams hosts an archetype of person who lives in Korea today, the gambler, the middle class worker, the military, the pregnant woman alone, the crook, the crooked businessman, the old lady, the idol, the thug, the depressed student etc... and the worst archetypes are the money-hungry businessman, the shaman and the thug. I can't stand them. - DG apart from TOP, JO YURI, the actor who plays Gi-hun, the actor who plays in glory, the one who plays in stranger from hell, and the one who plays in my name I don't think you know any other actors. - yes in HYMILEYECHAPA the girls loved playing Gong-gi

Two episodes at once? You spoil us! - Motherfucker, playing the „innocent“ player in the games. - S1 Gi-hun definitely would have bragged about winning with the umbrella, S2 Gi-hun is a different man. - AYE 🫡 - Gotta be honest, the Front Man is kinda badass, how he steps into the fight like that. - A whole made up story about a supposed sick pregnant wife. Lovely. - Damn. Seems like after his criminal empire collapsed, Choi Mujin had no choice but to join up with the Squid Game team, huh? - Oh shit, they got history. This really is a bit like My Name. - Is No-eul from the north? I sense a connection to Sae-byeok from S1. This would also explain that one post from my Korean friend on Theads: „Oh, so after Saebyeok, we now have a Noeul in the new season of squidgame - I see what you did there. (Their names mean "dusk" and "dawn", respectively)“ - „Putting the hopeless out of their misery“ Holy shit the mental gymnastics one has to perform to justify cold blooded murder like that. - After recent events in my country, I can comfortably say, ACAB. No exceptions. And that probably goes for other countries too. Korea included, obviously. - Biblically accurate triangles. - Why is it so hard for player 100 to accept that they can just switch the games around and that Gi-hun simply played different games three years ago? - Player 125 Min-su is played by David Lee, the serial killer from Hotel del Luna. - Player 096 is played by Lee Suk. He had minor roles in Strangers from Hell and My Name. - These games actually look really fun. Until you remember that a lot of people are about to get shot 😬 - Damn, No-eul really wants to make sure the organ harvest cannot go ahead. - Hehe, this reminds me when I first watched Itaewon Class and Vincenzo back to back. The main villain of Itaewon Class is Hong Yu-chan, Cha-young's dad in Vincenzo. That contrast between one of the most ruthless characters I've seen in TV and one of the nicest, most likable characters. - Shaman YEET - Hyun-ju is the heart and soul of this team and I love it. - I wonder, if the Front Man were to ever lose a game, do they just kill him too? Or does he have some backup like the old man in S1? - Yeah, it was nice to see her be called unnie. - I continue to be hella conflicted about No-eul. - Hwang In-ho goes by Oh Young-il? A bit like Oh Il-nam from S1 🤨 - I can't help but get the feeling that something is going to happen to cut these games short. This season is shorter than the first one, we're already at the 5th episode out of 7 and we only just finished the second game. - Yong-sik, how can you do this to your own mother? - If I didn't know who the Front Man is, I'd actually be rooting for him here. He's pretty damn convincing as the reasonable guy who wants to get out. All of this is probably just an act to show Gi-hun how powerless he truly is, of course. - Classic gambler's fallacy. „We've made it this far, just one more round can't hurt“ Rinse and repeat. - I can understand Hyun-ju. I'm queer myself (not trans, I'm bi) and I know quite a few people in the community. What she experienced is sadly all too common. The amount of roadblocks that the German healthcare system puts in your way before you are even *allowed* to start transitioning are frankly insane. And I can't imagine it being any easier in a country that's as transphobic as South Korea. - I see it the same way as you. The old woman isn't even being disrespectful towards Hyun-ju. This is just the first time she's actually talking a trans woman and she's curious. Honestly, her son Yong-sik is being WAY more inappropriate. - TOP is just so much fun to watch. - So this is a bit of a variation on Musical Chairs? - TOP is dancing the choreo of Taeyang's Ringa Linga 😂
