More notes on the AU:

Aventurine walks into the Quantdecim like all the other guests normally would, except he knows that he's dead.
He doesn't remember who he is or what his life was, only a vague yet concrete understanding that he died at some point (Nihility yoinked all the memories oopsies)
Ratio postpones his judgment and lets Aventurine stay here as an assistant (partner) until he figures out what to do about his soul. He tries a few judgments only for Aventurine to breeze through every game he proposes with relative ease and uncanny luck. Evidently not enough to determine a verdict.
Memories return to him in bits and pieces, he shares whatever interesting comes up with Ratio, who (secretly) loves hearing about it.
Ratio is a non-human fascinated with humans and knowledge, he trades for books with workers from other departments and enjoys learning things from the living world as he himself cannot go there. Also he can keep the puppet-making/sculpting hobby I guess..
