Flower of Evil Episode 15 - REACTION

I find it odd that baek hee-seoung didn't recognize hae-su, though. I know their meeting at the funeral was brief but I don't know.

This episode was my favorite of the whole kdrama series. The vulnerability of Hyunsu in th cliff. Lee Joongki (Hyunsu) is a very versatile, toptier actor, also acted in Resident Evil. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ He does very good in action films also.

Man you called it. Hyun Soo is going to see the badge and the question is will he become a murderer. Hae Soo's sacrifice and Eunha's reaction gets me every time. She said "Our Eunha don't open the door until Mom tells you okay" to convince the accomplice that she is Jiwon and she didn't struggle and complied to his questions to keep Eunha safe. I'm so glad that she didn't die. Moojin was like I wouldn't be boyfriend material if I didn't go pick her up and if he didn't go to pick her up she definitely would have died. Yeah I mentioned before that the detectives are actually competent on this show. they figure out who the accomplice is independently of Hyun Soo just not as fast. A few episodes ago our crew was asking why he hadn't been killing for the past 15 years and maybe he was in prison. Or maybe in a coma... I really think Heesung his a compelling villain. I actually bought the whole Palpatine do it trope here. Either I get rich and famous in prison or I do the one thing Do Min Seok couldn't accomplish and turn you into a murderer. But when Hyun Soo lost it and started going over all the ways he was going to mutilate Hee Sung you could see that he realized that he messed up. He assumed he would just be killed quick and easy. The acting all around this episode was great. Jiwon telling Moojin not to react and then telling him who the accomplice was and his reaction was so good. Also he hit director Baek with so many facts that he tried to turn the needle on himself. He wasn't trying to actually fix his son he was just lying to himself that his son was normal. With Yeom Sang Cheol they set up the rat poison thing so long ago with him always smelling the money and also Hee Sung's mom running a pharmacy he has access to whatever drugs he needs. I like the sentiment of the lock thing but Hee Sung could have easily stabbed her through the cage without needing to know how to lockpick or getting a hammer to smash the lock. I also liked how we didn't get an action fight scene between Hyun Soo and Heesung. Hyun Soo just got the drop on him because of his plan and HeeSung started crying like a little bitch. If you want to watch Lee Joon-Gi beat some people up though you could always check out lawless lawyer :) The generic beat cops are the most frustrating thing in this entire show. You're approaching a serial killer on the ground with your revolver our and you just let him grab it and shot someone. That character better get fired. You also called it and they kinda just skipped past it but the junior detective who didn't take the shot before resulting in detective Choi getting stabbed took the shot without hesitation. Unfortunately not before Heesung got his shot off. This entire show Hyun Soo has been shown to see dead people so it was actually believable that in his current state he would question if Jiwon was also an apparition. The reason for Jiwon having to not answer the phone was actually believable as well. Hyun Soo called Jiwon, then called her work then spoke to a policy officer who confirmed every detail Heesung said. If only he got detective Choi's digits :) but I don't think they're buddy buddy enough for him to actually have his personal number since he literally told Jiwon not to marry him. I also like how Jung Mi Sook talked to Jiwon and was like if he kills him I'll testify that it wasn't his fault and no jurry would sentence Hyun Soo for killing the serial killer to killed his Wife/Sister. I'm really glad you've enjoyed the show and I look forward to hearing your overall thoughts on the show. I agree that at some point it would be nice to watch something more cheerful. Extraordinary Attorney Woo was pretty funny. I watched that after it made the final round of one of the previous polls. I'm curious to see what you'll pick next and I hope that adding a second show isn't too much of an extra burden on you. It's only a 20+ hour commitment not counting editing.

Hey, if you want another show with great casting for the younger versions of the main characters, you should watch Dark πŸ˜ƒ Sorry, I'll shut up 🀐 - I get what Hyeon-su is doing with that lock and giving the key to Jung Mi-suk but honestly, any reasonably skilled lockpick could open that lock in no time. - So you're saying there's a chance Hae-su might survive? - β€œYou can't be alive today” What a fucking sentence πŸ’€ - Detectives detecting! Hell yeah! - Of course Moo-jin wouldn't leave this house quietly. He's just way too invested. - Baek Man-u lives in the ultimate β€œI can fix him” delusion. - As much as I don't want Hyeon-su to turn into a killer, the fear in Hee-seong's eyes is SO delicious. - Hyeon-su is just so traumatised at this point, he can't even tell that the Ji-won he's seeing is actually real. This is a man truly at the end of his mental capacity. - Hae-su lives! - Hyeon-su dies? - That motherfucking incompetent idiot of a police officer. How the fuck do you let Hee-seong steal a gun from you? Honestly. Maybe people will vote for something lighter to replace Alice in Borderland, who knows. Wasn't Extraordinary Attourney Woo always a popular choice?

- Seven is an absolute reference in terms of thriller and many works without inspiration. Just in the last 2 dramas that we have to watch (uncanny counter and flower of evil) the references to this work are very present and visible. - I told you DG this drama takes unexpected turns and the last episode will prove it again. - Flower of evil is one of the 10 best South Korean thrillers but for me it would be in the top 5 if it stopped at this episode. For me series like Lookout, Gap dong and especially Mouse are above.

- if it was the last episode I would have been very satisfied with this ending. it is sad certainly but it has a lot of meaning and symbolism - Hae-su will have to live her whole life with the death of her brother it would be her way of atoning for her murder and Moo-jin could support her and help her carry this burden. -Ji-won would of course be very sad but she would have definitely cleared her husband's name. -Baek Hee-song would have lost on all counts he would spend his life in prison and would not have succeeded in transforming Hyeon-su into a killer. - this ending suits me perfectly it would be both realistic and melancholic. - but there is one full episode left so everything can happen.
