If you search Google for "Tzuyu flag incident", you'll immediately see "A 16-year-old pop star was forced to apologize to China for waving Taiwan’s flag" - and that's exactly what happened. just a few days after TWICE debuted, Tzuyu was simply waving a tiny Taiwanese flag on the Korean variety show My Little Television, as she introduced herself as Taiwanese so obviously, she waived the tiny Taiwanese flag which made the Chinese very very angry. And we all know how they get when they're angry...... sad to say, this traumatized Tzuyu for several years and you will notice that from Sixteen, until EPL she was very vocal and full of life, then after the apology video, well, her and Mina became the tiniest voice in Twice ever since. But happy to see that after Feel Special, she slowly and surely got her savage maknae energy back and now have enough confidence to do a Solo album.

2024-08-12 13:49:10 +0000 UTC- Yeah, Tzuyu has made an apology video. Whether she wanted to or was forced to, I don't know. I try to stay away from these things. I read some headlines about JYP not choosing 'sides' so I'm leaning towards that she wasn't forced to do so. The "incident" she apologized for was apparently .... holding a Taiwanese flag... As you know Tzuyu IS Taiwanese, but China doesn't want Taiwan to be independent, etc, so China got mad. Tzuyu was 16 at the time, and was dragged into this political conflict. Later, she also appeared in a video about which languages she speaks, and for "mandarin" they showed the Chinese flag. China happy, Taiwan unhappy. - "Why did she pause for so long 😄?". Tzuyu really is effortlessly funny 😁 - Healthy AND delicious? 🤯 - Recently I found out they pronounce "maknae" as "mangnae" 🤓 - It's not that surprising to me that the leader voting was done anonymously. I can think of some scenarios where it could cause issues if it wasn't anonymous. - They might be a bit opposites of each other but it works. Tzuyu is a very good listener and Jihyo likes to talk 😅 and is good at it. You could also say they complement each other 💪
