To clarify : while we know what was the actual ranking of both Kaeun and Chowon, Mnet manipulated the number of votes AND thus the rankings. It was proven in court that the total votes were fabricated for all the girls. The actual numbers were not made public. As such, we don't know who was rigged in, and never will. The order in which the girls were called was probably just to add a little bit of drama. We'll never even know if Wonyoung was actually supposed to be the center. In the end, the whole final episode was manufactured by Mnet from start to finish. It's very unlikely that Yujin and Nako are the ones who were rigged in.

I didn't really have much time last week so this is coming a bit late (went to two Billlie concerts and one The Midnight concert. I met Billlie's Tsuki in person. Twice. I am dead). As for the eight candidates who narrowly missed the IZ*ONE lineup: #13: Han Chowon made her debut in June 2021 as one of the second main vocal of LIGHTSUM, together with Kim Nayoung and Lee Yujeong. I already linked you their debut and first comeback, so here's their second comeback Alive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SqwzA0FVTU And the third comeback is Honey or Spice which you've already seen. Yeah, despite this group already having been around for three years now, Cube is barely giving them anything to do. When Sangah went on Queendom Puzzle, a year had already passed since the Alive comeback. And it doesn't seem like there are any active plans for more releases, even though it's already been nine months since the last one. Man, shit really sucks for Chowon. First she gets rigged out of IZ*ONE and when she finally does debut, it's under prime Cube management 🙃 #14: Lee Gaeun had already been a member of After School going into PD48 but their last activity as a group was several years before this show and nothing else happened after it either. Gaeun left Pledis in July 2019 and released a solo song called Remember You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7oOpkYZvK4 But it doesn't seem like she continued to pursue a career in music. She made her acting debut in the drama High Class in 2021. And her Youtube channel is mostly about ASMR-style content today: https://www.youtube.com/@gaeunday Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/by.gaeun #15: Miyazaki Miho returned to AKB48 until her graduation in April 2022. She posts regularly on her Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@myaochannel Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/myaostagram_380 #16: Takahashi Juri returned to AKB48 until her graduation in May 2019. After which she went to Korea, signed a contract with Woolim Entertainment and debuted in August 2019 together with Kim Suyun and Kim Sohee in Rocket Punch. Which gives me an excuse to plug my favourite title track, Chiquita: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_2xEKsvkLo However, just under two months ago, Juri announced that she would be leaving Rocket Punch to start her own Kpop/K-beauty consulting company. I'm not entirely sure what that entails tbh but there's a website: https://www.ui-jr.com Meanwhile Rocket Punch continues with 5 members. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/irujuri_1oo3 #17: Takeuchi Miyu returned to AKB48 until her graduation in May 2019. She went to Korea and signed a contract with Mystic Story, starting to train as part of Mystic Rookies, the group that would eventually debut as Billlie (heh, I just went to their concerts). However, Miyu herself was not actually a candidate for the group debut, rather training to go solo. She left Mystic Story in May 2021 to focus on her Youtube channel and song covers. At the end of last year she also released her first original song called Memoirs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZwDoc5eL34 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/miyusanno.official #18: Shitao Miu returned to AKB48 and is still active there. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/miumiu1343 #19: Park Haeyoon made her debut in January 2019 as one of the main vocalists of Cherry Bullet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KdWuQyIEYk After the group's first comeback, three members left, including the original leader Mirae (later known as Ella of PIXY). Haeyoon was then promoted to be the new leader of Cherry Bullet. Sadly, FNC has been pretty crap at promoting them, seemingly preferring to send the members to survival shows instead of giving them comebacks. Over the last three years, they only got two comebacks, whilst Bora and other members competed on no less than three separate survival shows. Their final comeback was the one you reacted to on Youtube, POW! And about a year after that, FNC announced Cherry Bullet's disbandment. Honestly, did they even TRY with this group? At least I was lucky enough to see them live on three separate occasions. Though curiously, they didn't add POW to their setlist at the last show, which was over half a year after the song's release. They just did a shortened version of the same setlist I saw them with the previous two times. I'm not sure what Haeyoon is planning to do from now. She left FNC but afaik hasn't announced any concrete future plans. For now she's doing song covers on her Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@h.yoooni Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/h.yoooni #20: Shiroma Miru returned to NMB48 until her graduation in August 2021. Until then she also got the center position in various songs, like Tokonoma Seiza Musume, just to name one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4FwKFk658c After her time in NMB she started to gear up for a career as a soloist and released her solo debut Shine Bright in July 2022. This is also the song she performed as her introduction performance on Queendom Puzzle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5p2UlRBNPM So far she has released two EPs and is also active in modeling and a few other things. - I only really have two wishes for the next survival show: male contestants and something that's not from the Produce series. I am out-Produced at this point 😅 - I think the other commenters already went into detail about the rigging and how it was found out so I'm not gonna repeat anything here. Just one thing I want to add: the rigging scandal is one of the main reasons why Produce rebranded to the Planet series in Korea (Girls Planet 999 is essentially Produce season 5 and Boys Planet is season 6). And Girls Planet wasn't that successful because people didn't really trust Mnet at that point. Even though Mnet did get some independent external people to monitor the voting and make sure that everything is legit. It took until Boys Planet for that trust (and viewership) to somewhat return. - IOI and Wanna One in the audience! Don't memorise those Boys' faces too well, otherwise you'll spoil yourself for whenever you get around to Produce 101 Season 2 😃 - I think every new kpop fan has made the “eye zone” mistake at least once 😄 - Well, Kang Daniel winning season 2 shouldn't be all that surprising, considering he is, you know, KANG DANIEL! - Oh hey, Bumzu! He produces most Seventeen songs together with Woozi. - Break Dance for center! - Ok but why do they put THIS much emphasis on the center position? It's really not THAT important, is it? - Btw, the subtitles here use a very literal translation of the Korean title of the song. The official English title is just “We Together”. - Very nice performance. - I would say that they're showing 11th to 14th place here to do a bit of voting manipulation but they directly rigged them anyway so it doesn't really matter I suppose 🙃 - The vocals are definitely mixed very low in that second song. - I think I like this one even more than the first one. - Not even debuted yet and they're already going to Japan 💪🏻 - Now it's the Koreans who have to take out their little notes 😄 - The only thing that bothers me about this performance in Japan is the complete lack of a light production. Just the static bright lights of this exhibition hall. - Shit, seeing Miru cry in the last song made me really sad that she didn't make it into IZ*ONE. - “Only the results of National Producer's votes count” Well that was a fucking lie. - 100% agreed. You don't have to win on shows like this to get another chance at the idol life. If you've read my update comments about the eliminated trainees then you know that many of them went on to debut in other groups or as solo artists. And since you mention Boys Planet, there are even more groups that came from that show than the ones you mentioned. There's TIOT, AMPERS&ONE, TOZ and several solo debuts like Jay Chang, Onlee (Lee Seunghwan) and LE'V (Wang Zihao), just to name a few examples. - He's just listing off their names, why is that taking so long 😭 - I can only imagine how painful this must have been during the live broadcast at normal speed. - You're misunderstanding. Places 5 and 6 weren't directly exchanged with 13 and 14. Rather, the ones that WOULD have been in 5 and 6 (Kaeun and Chowon) were moved down out of the top 12 and everyone else moved up by two spots. The ones that wouldn't have made it without rigging are Kim Minju and Lee Chaeyeon. - Obviously I knew Jo Yuri already (she's an AMAZING soloist today) so to see those first episodes where she was ranked F was crazy. - Yeah, they made Chaeyeon suffer for this. - Wonyoung receiving the best birthday present possible. - And this is why I'm so fucking conflicted about the rigging thing. Of course, rigging votes is not okay but without it, Chaeyeon would not have made it and that doesn't feel right either... This show was wild. Infuriating editing at many points but really cool to see how so many idols I know have started off.

I followed the allegations all the time since the beginning and you simply spread so many misinformations that are speculated here and there and take it all in your post as a truth. The document that has been revealed from the investigation so far (which happen in mid-2020): Some spoiler for those who hadn’t watched other series yet… - Produce 101 (first round of voting): Kim Su Hyun, Seo Hye Lin (Which means no IOI member were rigged in/out of the group) - Produce 101 Season 2 (first round of voting): Seong Hyun Woo (LIMITLESS’s A.M) - Produce 101 Season 2 (fourth round of voting): Kang Dong Ho (NU’EST’s Baekho) —> Baekho supposed to debut in WaanaOne - Produce 48 (fourth round of voting): Lee Ga Eun, Han Cho Won Actual final ranking: No. 5 Lee Ga Eun, No. 6 Han Cho Won - Produce X 101 (first round of voting): Anzardi Timothee - Produce X 101 (third round of voting): Kim Kook Heon (B.O.Y), Lee Jin Woo (GHOST9) - Produce X 101 (fourth round of voting): Koo Jung Mo (CRAVITY), Lee Jin Hyuk (UP10TION), Keum Dong Hyun Actual final ranking: No. 6 Koo Jung Mo, No. 7 Lee Jin Hyuk, No. 8 Keum Dong Hyun

I know guys I'm just telling the story such that many fans followed it for years. namely rumor, then arrest, then trial, then revelation, then questioning of said revelations etc... until the last information released just this year. For months the girls of IZ*ONE and their fans didn't know who was legitimate and who wasn't, to this day we still don't know. we just know for sure that Kaeun and Chowon were scammed. but we simply won't know the whole truth, were the agencies really involved? does the police have all the elements? are there other victims?, the question no longer arises IZ*ONE is no more and most of the members of IZ*ONE have been very successful after the group's disband. that's the only thing that matters. Chowon is in Lightsum and Kaeun left the industry and she started her life again, surrounded by her family and supported by lots of fans . and no you're wrong in korea we got basically 10 various "real " ranking back in a day even our celebrity media, kpop media and even national media talked about this story. you go on the internet I am sure that you will find several different rankings since the story came out. I just looked out of curiosity on you tube and I easily found 3 different rankings. without looking for very long. but of course I understand all those who have not followed the affair just have the latest and freshest news. I admit I followed the affair at the time but it was a long time ago and I only recently learned the new information.

- Sooooo much emphasis on "the center". Is this Produce the Center 48 or something? - Unexpectedly, when Minju gets the dance right and gets a bit of confidence, she actually looked quite good as a center. - Chaeyeon center? That's unexpected as well. I would've picked Wonyoung or Yujin, but good for her! Lets go!! 🤩 - Nice, wholesome, fun, performance. - "Your whole career may very well depend on this last performance. But don't be nervous and have fun" 😅 - Yena center? Unexpected, I would've picked Sakura, but let's go!! - Miru's eyes and gaze are just.... enchanting 😍 - I agree that Eunbi, Ga-eun and Sakura really shined. Yena, was good, but I think one of those other 3 would've been even better. - I also prefer this song/performance over the first one. - In my opinion both centers (Chaeyeon and Yena) were just a liiiiittle bit over-performing (they were trying really hard to get the attention of the audience, while a true center has this weird quality where attention 'just goes to them'. Call it aura or something). - Wow, you really are a time wizard. - These rank announcements are even hella slow when sped up 😴 - Of course, every girl deserves it. But are these the best 12 imo? No. There are a few idols that I think are better than Minju and Hyewon. But since I already know IZ-One and their songs/concept, it's hard for me to picture a Ga-eun, Chowon or a Miru in them. I can, however, picture a Haeyoon, Miho or Juri in them. - Speaking of Ga-eun, her ranking through the episodes was: 5, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 8, 5, 5, 5, 14. Now that 14 looks a bit fishy to me. - I just realized that in the eliminated contestants there's Miu, Miyu, Miru and Miho. Sound like 4 sisters 😅 - This show was always "the one" that I hadn't watched yet. And when I knew you were eventually going to react to this, I waited to watch it with you. So I'm glad I finally watched it 👍

That “real ranking” is basically the ranking in semi-final, it was proved Gaeun and Chowon is 5th and 6th. This is a huge misunderstanding, no other rankings or members have been revealed except for these two.

RoNNieTP

Your "real" ranking is pure speculation. The only info given by the court was that Kaeun and Chowon got rigged out, but they decided to not reveal the legit lineup because they wanted to protect the girls.

Shancii

yes i was of the people who was very confused not to see Kaeun in the final line up it made no sense never in the history of the produce series was eliminated after being ranked in the top of the ranking. and yes I agree I love Chaewon but I didn't understand why she suddenly had attention to the line up when we had barely seen her. and I was also one of the people who thought that Hyewon had nothing to do in the final line up and that only his beauty had brought him there. I would have preferred to see a Miru, juri or Miho. but I became fans of IZ*ONE and even if Minju or Hyewon are not an incredible talent they brought something to the group Minju especially who was the center of interest of the others who loved to tease her with "Minjugato"

fabrice maire

i agree back in a day IZ*ONE album sales was crazy they reach and even sales more album than twice one time . but yes IZ*ONE is to me one of the very best GG of all time even with a short carrier .

fabrice maire

DG to clarify certain things because someone rightly commented on an important point under my post. The investigation and the revelations which were made at the time and which I exposed to you date back more than 4 years. but since this year there have been updates on this matter. It was finally revealed that only 2 girls were scammed and not 5 as it was revealed to us at the time. What we know is that Chowon and Kaeun must have been part of the group and that she had ranks 5 and 6. but we do not know the names of the girls who benefited from this scam. in a ranking that was released 3 years ago Yujin and Nako had 7th and 8th place. but again this update surprises me because MNET and the producers seem to have paid the candidates they scammed and there are more than 2 of them. It could be that we are never the whole truth but it is necessary to pass the members of IZ*ONE no nothing to reproach them no nothing wrong but follow their dreams. but I'm so sorry for Kaeun she didn't deserve that at all she was the most righteous girl in the program a real angel. Even when she learned that she had been scammed, she remained very dignified but she put her idol career in the closet.

fabrice maire

It is proven that there was a member of I.O.I who did not have his place in the investigation and was only put aside because the group no longer existed. there was no reason to delve further into the identity of the member in question. The only thing the police needed was proof of the manipulation and when it started. because the producers in question were producers in all seasons. It is not because no name was disclosed that there was no manipulation, moreover the accused confessed. They just denied the accusations of corruption via agencies that they allegedly paid to help their members win. the ranking that I posted was the ranking that we had at the time and from where the whole story began I posted it because these members, whether the supposed winners or the members who were scammed, saw their lives change drastically. for the real ranking there are indeed new updates that have been released and indeed it is only a question of Kaeun and Chowon. but the latest news says that in the end they do not know who the members are who benefited from this cheat. I'm in the process of posting several things so you responded a little quickly I'm aware of that, I just wanted to give the whole story from the beginning.

fabrice maire

At first, once the final line up was announced so many people were pissed that Kaeun and Chowon didn't make it and many people where super confused how Hyewon and Chaewon made it due to the fact that Mnet didn't give Chaewon much screen time and many people thought Hyewon was untalented. It also didn't help that the line up itself to people didn't make it any sense like Jo Yuri in 3rd, Lee Chaeyon in 12th and Wonyoung getting 1st after their previous ranking, which was very unexpected. Also the beef Sakura stans had on Wonyoung (because she ranked first) was insane at the time, and so many nasty things were said about her too. However, once IZ*ONE released "La Vie En Rose" the hate did dial back and people didn't care much because the song was good, everyone fit the concept, and at the time they felt so refreshing. When it was announced that Mnet was rigging votes from all of the produce shows and even Idol School. It was chaos. The rigging scandal came to front and people where mad, upset, and did make their speculations on who should and shouldn't have been in the group after it was revealed that both Chowon and Kaeun should have debut, but most people and WIZ*ONE's where so worried that IZ*ONE would disband becaue they were preparing for a comeback before the rigging scandal put them on hiatus for a few months. Then people got more worried after X1 disbanded due to the Rigging Scandal. It was a huge mess. Thankfully that didn't happen and IZ*ONE was able to come back from hiatus and released their 1st Full Length Album in early 2020 and had the most sales every for an album, until Blackpink had their comeback and they were dethroned. In the end, even with the rigging scandal, Kpop will remember and love IZ*ONE. Even, most Kpop stans realized, yes they are rigged, but they couldn't image anyone else in IZ*ONE.

Justin Beasley

the girls of IZ*ONE were very touched by this news, some members like Yujin and Yena even thought about leaving the group. because she felt responsible. there were indeed some haters who spilled their poison but overall the IZ*ONE Group was too established and popular for the scandal to affect them. finally they finished their contact in a spectacular and Humble way. - I am personally very sad for the girls who should have been part of the group and who were betrayed by a system in which they believed. Kaeun was interviewed a few months later to give his feelings on this subject. She said the story broke her career. but she was proud of herself. she received a lot of support from her family and a lot of fans including IZ*ONE fans the Wizone told all the girls who were flying that for us they were also part of IZ*ONE that the group did not have 12 members but 17. Kaeun also said that they were financially compensated. I think the amount is on par with what the members of IZ*ONE have earned during their career in terms of album sales and group activity. at the time to be honest my line-up was quite close to the line-up of the producers Wonyoung Yujin Sakura , Yena Eunbi Yuri Hitomi Nako Chaeyeon Kaeun Miru Miho I wouldn't have chosen Minju, Hyewon or even Chaewon who I adore because at the time she didn't make an impression on me. Minju and Hyewon are considered visual tops but honestly speaking of pure talent or skill they didn't impress me. but after 2 and a half years of career I wouldn't change any member of IZ*ONE, they all finally found their place. I love all the members that I wouldn't change for anything in the world

fabrice maire

1. IOI never proven to have rigged member, they rigged it in the 1st elimination. 2. That real top 12 for izone members are proven WRONG, bcs all we know is Gaeun ranked 5th, and Chowon ranked 6th.

U C

here's what's happening with vote manipulation. the story began after the broadcast of the 4th season of produce called Produce X 101. the winners of the show formed the group X1 after broadcasting their first MV and during their promotion, allegations of vote manipulation began to surface. At that time IZ*ONE had already had more than 2 years of career and they were very popular, their success was enormous and their juniors had just made their debut. The rumor gained momentum and reached the police who investigated it after several weeks the police had enough evidence to arrest the producers of the show Ahn Joon Young and Kim yong-bum after the interrogations the police and the prosecutors estimated that the accused would appear in a closed trial at the request of the accused (j However, like many people in Korea who were interested in history, I could have access to what was said at this trial as if I were there, in short, it would not just be a story of vote manipulation. but something closer to corruption, the representatives of 5 agencies would have offered bribes to the production of the show to make their candidates win there would also have been more scabrous transactions such as offering sexual services to the producer or the invited to dinner. in the end the accused confessed to their crimes and had the details of the manipulations they allegedly manipulated the votes of 1 candidate from produce 101 so that she entered I.O.I the name was not revealed because the group was disband at that time it was not There was no reason to upset the girl in question. There was also a member of Wanna One who was included in the final line up even though he wasn't supposed to be there. finally we got to the big part. All votes were manipulated in the last season from the start of the show. Given the scandal, the agency of the X1 group suspended the group's activities to know that it should be the course to follow. after a few weeks of discussions the agency decided to disband the group X1 even though their debut was very promising. the producers also had to financially compensate the candidates who had really won. then we learned that the producers had also manipulated the votes of season 3 produce 48 the show and the votes took place almost normally until the finale but the producers were not satisfied with the top 20 the Japanese were too represents their tastes due to a massive vote of the Japanese people during the show the Koreans who were more or less sure that the girls were going to reach the line up fianl did not vote as much as the weeks preceding which put the girls in difficulty Korean which was nevertheless at the top of the ranking. here are the rankings official 1 jand Wonyoung 2 Miyawaki Sakura 3 Jo Yuri 4 Choi Yena 5 Year Yujin 6 Yabuki Nako 7 Kwon Eunbi 8 Kang Hyewon 9 Honda Hitomi 10 Kim Chaewon 11 Kim Minju 12 Lee Chaeyeon - the real ranking 1 Miyawaki Sakura 2 Miyazaki Miho 3 Lee Chaeyeon 4 Kang Hyewon 5 Lee Kaeun 6 Takeuchi Miyu 7 Jang Wonyoung 8 Shiroma Miru 9 Yabuki Nako 10 Shitao Miu 11 Honda Hitomi 12 Kwon Eunbi -with 7 Japanese members in the group the production was afraid that it would be difficult to promote them in South Korea and that they would be successful. with IZ*ONE they really wanted to release a girl group that would overshadow Twice. (and despite all their crimes they were right they are rotten but IZ*ONE had a great career and in the end they overshadowed Twice) all at least compared to their short period of activity of 2 and a half years. They therefore decided to eliminate the members who would not suit the concept they intended to give to IZ*ONE - they eliminated Kaeun because for them she was too old, too experienced and too sexy for the concept, they preferred to give the chance to An Yujin who for them had great potential and matched perfectly with the concept - they eliminated Miho because despite their love for Korea and her beautiful voice they preferred Jo Yuri - they eliminated Shiroma Miru because even if she had incredible facial expressions and a big stage presence like Kaeun he found her too mature and off stage he found that she had too closed a face she was also too weak vocally 'after them they replaced him with Choi Yena who was an ultra sparkling all rounder perfect for their concept -they eliminated Takeushi Miyu to replace her with Kim Chaewon at this point it was clearly to replace a Japanese woman with a Korean who had almost the same quality. - as for X1 the question of disband was raised for IZ*ONE but they were 2 months from the end of their contracts. Even though the news shocked their agencies, the public and their fans encouraged them to continue.
