How to Draw : Copy and Steal
Added 2020-01-14 10:57:28 +0000 UTCBefore you get start with elemental drawing (aka. line, shade, shape, etc.), first of all you need to think first what is your goal of drawing - what kind of drawing are you aiming at.
- If you are aiming at realistic drawing - then you need to look what what's around you (lake, building, people etc.) and copy it on paper.
- If you are aiming at surreal drawing - then you need to focus deep into your mind and copy them on paper.
- If you are aiming at typical drawing from specific artist (western cartoon, anime, etc.) - then you need to copy their style and make it your own.
Remember, they is no shame of copying other people. Every artwork in the world is a result of copying other and eventually make them their own, regardless of their origin might be (nature, human mind, other people). Just remember a few rules,
1 ) You must respect the original source properly.
2 ) Danger sense is key. Remember to not involve with controversy.
3 ) Avoid your own greed, take what you must.
So, when you feel lost where you should start drawing, just remember - Copy and Steal. Just ask your mind which art style you want to be, then copy that art style, then it will eventually will become your own one day.
Just like, 6 - 7 years at worst (1 - 2 years if you are somewhat genius or resourceful). But you will eventually get it.
