The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 3 - REACTION

Comments

I wasn't necessarily talking about killing though 😬 Their job is to expel the evil spirit from the body right? And because the possessed person usually doesn't want that, the counters apparently need to pummel him so much that he can't resist anymore. So if your job is to pummel ppl anyway, why not use the pointy end? 🤷‍♂️

- What in the Two Steps From Hell is this soundtrack - The most intense staring contest ever. - I'm going to lobotomize you for that axe pun 🙂 - About the scammer. „His actions did lead to his victims wanting to end their lives, so...“ Yes but he still doesn't deserve to die. First of all, I am generally against capital punishment. And second, death is too easy of a way out for him. He needs to sit in prison for a LONG time so he can be properly punished. And I don't want Ma Ju-seok to become a killer himself. Especially not of a man that isn't even the murderer of his wife. Though I do see a possible future where Ju-seok becomes host to an evil spirit. - They moved from their noodle shop to an Ikea 😅 - What did I say? Evil spirit. - Wait, is Min-ji herself the evil spirit or is the evil spirit just impersonating her? - Jeok-bong, what the fuck are you doing? - So his smell is basically just a shitty close-range version of Ha-na's ability to sense spirits, got it. - Is this the first time we're seeing Jang-mul properly out in the field, jumpsuit and all? - Oh god, please don't make it the last time as well. - Holy shit, they really had me going there 👁👄👁

Yeah I wasn't even thinking about the concept of counters (that they mustn't kill), it's that everything within Mrs.Chu probably would've wanted to kill him, what they did, plus Chu & Mo Tak's conversation about feeling "useless", and even when facing death she wouldn't even think to actually kill someone no matter how much they deserve it or if it's the only way to survive. Idk probably overthinking lol!

I love Ju-seok's character so much, his development is incredible. Basically this season will show how a truly good and humane man can fall apart because of pain and sorrow. every moment of the season where he appears is incredible in terms of emotion. This is the first time in the series that an evil spirit takes possession of a fundamentally good man. We will see if this changes the situation or not. DG you remember when in the first season you didn't understand why Wigen had taken away Su-mun's powers even if it meant putting him in danger. At that moment Su-mun was in the same state of mind as Ju-seok and he too is a fundamentally good man. Doesn't it become even stronger if an evil spirit takes possession of a good man but full of pain and rage?? you will have the answer in this season. -Jeok-bong, on the other hand, will bring back a bit of joy, innocence and comedy in the series. -and of course a drama wouldn't be one without a romance or a love triangle. - I think Mo-tak is developing a goofy side to compensate for the loss of his girlfriend. and that trained Jeok-bong allows him to forget his pain a husband. in another sense it is useless and lost because now Su-mun is stronger than him. - Ms Chu and Mr Choi are the parental figures among the counters losing one of the 2 would be a very hard blow for the counters. At the time I was not afraid for Mrs Chu but more for Mr Choi who would undoubtedly sacrifice for her. I think if any counters were to die this season it would be Mr Choi and/or Mo-tak. xar like in manga sometimes the heroes receive an incredible power up after the death of a mentor or parental figure. -DG you wanted interesting and charismatic villains and well you got them for the moment we have the gang of Mr Hang, cruel and merciless and have in Ju-seok a bit of a justicer in search of revenge controlled by an evil spirit who has little the appearance of his wife Min-ji.

You're right. Counters will not and arent allowed to kill anyone, may it be human or an evil spirit. They wont be able to summon the evil spirits if the host is dead.

Maybe Mrs. Chu just doesn't have it in her to kill, it would be pretty ironic for the healer of the group to also be a killer, no matter how far she's pushed and how well deserved it is. It also kind of emphasizes the Fireman's complete turn into darkness, since I also thought that he doesn't have it in him to kill., but oh boy was I wrong...

- Cool power struggle in the shop - Yeah, we still don't know how the evil spirits found them - Nice pun 😁 I think he just wanted some axion - So now the evil spirits can mask their power level AND have their faces not being shown in Hana's visions? - She didn't stab with the spear? Wtf? 🤯 Who uses a spear to slap someone? Come on now. The guy can even heal himself. Couldn't they have let her stab him? Not even a little? - When you did your predictions, I had a slightly different one: I agree with the fireman first going after the one he thinks killed his wife, and then going after the actual killers, the evil spirits. But instead of getting just killed by them, I think it will be either: 1. The evil spirits will first welcome him as just another evil spirit. But when he sees how evil they are he will have (yet another) change of heart. Maybe becomes something in between. Like a daywalker. 2. He (helps) killing the evil spirits, absorbs them, and becomes ultimate evil. But I do get your symbiot (Venom) references. We'll just have to wait and see.

I remember how everyone was so hyped when this came out, it was so badass and intense and rewatching this episode with you made me feel those things again. The pacing and intensity are fire so your reactions are very relatable. Of all the powers the new counter can get, he got the worse one--smelling shit. Poor guy 😂 During the sparring session, for a moment I thought Mun was gonna kiss Hana when he turned her to face him 😆 Looks like shes gonna be the 2nd strongest and Motak will be downgraded a bit as he deals with his 10th year crisis. The evil spirit's voice reminded me of Venom and is it just me or that one evil spirit looks like an idol? 😆 Hana can only sense and see the evil spirits stepping into the territory, so the big bad 3 were too smart to use some minor evil spirits on both locations as a decoy to catch them.
