The Uncanny Counter Episode 7 - REACTION

I'm gonna be away tomorrow so I wanted to share this one a bit earlier than usual :)

The Uncanny Counter Episode 7 - REACTION

Comments

- I thought they were gonna do some actual time travel shenanigans. With Cheong-sin deciding to kill young Mun in the past. But it seems like that's not how it works. - Nah, I don't really see Mo-tak and Jeong-yeong getting back together. They don't have that kind of chemistry. - Dude wants to call himself a police chief but get queasy at the sight of a bloody hand. What a wimp. - That Song Man-ho guy is not doing a very good job at making himself look innocent. - He gave her like 20 bucks lmao - Good job, just drunkenly confess to your crimes. - Honestly, this is what I imagine Elon Musk to be like as a boss. - So satisfying to see Team Noodle House make such quick work of these goons. - Oh, school bully is also an evil spirit? Yeah, makes sense. - You really thought you could get rid of them that easily? Idiot.

All counters are able to read and erase the most recent memories but only Hana can read, scan, erase and control yearsss worth of memories. I also agree with Kim Sejeong's acting, shes such a natural. If you have watched clips of her other popular drama Business Proposal, a romcom, her character was the complete opposite there. Expresive, funny, girly, clumsy, which just shows her versatility and range as an actor.

I swear it just keeps getting better and better! Regarding the memory transportation, the bald evil dude was able to go inside the memory because of his old phone. They needed a medium to enter, and with Mun's case, hus medium was the old sketchpad.

one of the things I like most about this Drama is that we are never frustrated as viewers. Most of the time in this type of Drama the heroes or protagonists of the story only manage to do justice at the end of the series. after going through drama and suffering. but it is satisfying to see that the counters manage to correct the various thugs and harassers quite often. the acting is really good too - DG it's curious to see that you still seem worried that Choi Jang mool "the rich donor and friends of the counters" is becoming "bad". I wonder why you feel this way specifically with him and not with Mo-tak, Miss Chu or Ha-na. It is true that in general in most Korean dramas or even series in general, rich or influential men are often the bad guys in the story. and as I mentioned an episode or 2 ago I could understand your impression if he had behaved suspiciously. but this is not the case. so it's weird that this feeling always seems to be on your mind. - one of the big problems we have in Korea is that it is actually common to see bosses or superiors hitting their subordinates. when they make a mistake but it does not happen in front of everyone and it happens not only in Chaebol or large companies but also in supermarkets, factories, garages, restaurants etc. so for many they take a little teasing by are boss is almost normal or cultural. I myself took a little slap on the back of the head when I made a big ball. but it wasn't something shocking to me. because even between members of the same family or friends this dish always has a little taste. my grandmother slapped me on the back, my mother or my friends fingerflicked me on the forehead or pulled my cheeks. but the kind of harassment that we see in the series to the point that your boss hits you or humiliates you fortunately doesn't happen often. but it happens and many workers accept it without flinching for fear of losing their jobs. Our society needs to stop accepting things like that. -and yes, you saw the mayor's son who becomes an evil spirit coming. It had been 2 episodes since we had seen him and to make him a simple stalker without power who was being corrected again and again by Su-mun we had to give him a power-up.

Thanks for dropping the episode early! It was Crispy Chicken who mentioned that the evil spirit's dad was the only thing keeping him in check but I agree with that sentiment. With the Jumper fight scene at the start of the episode I don't think So Mun has the power to teleport between the dream and reality to the evil spirit's location. I think it had something to do with the evil spirit's cell phone. Kind of like how Hana used So Mun's drawing from that day to bring them there I think the evil spirit's cell phone which he had back then is connecting him to that same place and time. When they fought I think he may have dropped the phone while holding So Mun so they went back to reality together. Extremely convenient that So Mun saw the name of the company and the killer but whatever. I figure he should be able to figure out it was a junkyard and having the name there just saves us the step of having to say how many junkyards are in the area and how many they stopped at before this one. I noticed a distinct lack of So Mun's friends this episode. I eagerly await their return as well as the sidekick detective. BTW I'm just agreeing with your theory about the junior detective. I guess the thugs just let the girls go after they told them where to find Mo Tak? At least I certainly hope that's the case and they don't still have them locked up somewhere. Hey Detective Jeong Yeong finally met the crew. I'm hoping for more interactions with So Mun. I like how Mo Tak didn't really have a role for So Mun at the noodle shop yet. I guess at some point during this show we need to find out which aspect of running the noodle shop he's good at. I'm glad we're finally getting into Hana's back story. It's going to be kind of predictable if each of the crew's backstories has a present day evil spirit to deal with. I uh got confused for a second when they were interrogating her uncle for murdering that corporate employee in a bathroom stall as I thought that the guy was murdered in the first episode as I was recently watching another kdrama where some office worker was strangled to death in a stall and I got the 2 shows mixed up :) Man I hate her uncle already. He murders a guy and doesn't even care enough to get someone to dispose of the body in the restroom of his own office. And when he was punishing the guy to reported him he basically treated him like a dog and gave him a treat and petted him. Separately about the uncle and Hana when she asked for money because her parents couldn't pay for her I think he could have used that opportunity to giver her a decent chunk of change and say something like "oh your parent's can't afford to take care of you anymore. Just come to me anytime you need some spending money." I think that might have upset me more than just oh I was going to give you $50 but here's $20. Like whatever man. With the reveal that the head bully is already an evil spirit I'm kinda surprised they didn't ever show us him getting possessed. I assume that if he was already possessed when they beat him up and wiped his memory they would have noticed. I enjoyed the reaction as always and stay safe!
