The Uncanny Counter Season 1 Episode 3 - REACTION

The Uncanny Counter Season 1 Episode 3 - REACTION

- Always good to check out your local businesses. - The guy seems to be into more creative killing methods than just beating on people with tools - Good point. I suppose a spirit getting framed for entering the mortal realm might become a plot point later on. - The visual of him getting banished into the eternal prison reminds me of Doctor Who. When the Doctor banishes the mother of the Family of Blood into the event horizon of a collapsing galaxy. - Why is an overgrown 13 year old in charge of a gang? - PARKOUR! - Fun facts about the actors of Mun's school friends. Lee Ji-won who plays Ju-yeon was born in 2006, so she was about 13 to 14 years old at the time of filming. Which sounds about right. But Kim Eun-soo who plays Ung-min was born in 1991. That mf was like 28 or 29, playing a high school student. - Mun, you can stop pretending with the cane. No one buys that anymore. - Vibranium? Is this show part of the MCU too? 😅 - Yup, that big dude is played by an actor born in 1985. 35 years old at time of filming. Definitely not a high school student. - Hell yeah! - If none of those gang members are possessed right now, they definitely will be at some point down the line. - By all means, knock yourselves out. Actually do do that. Knock yourselves right out into the afterlife. - Why is that guy getting off the wanted list? And why is the other officer so fucking smug about it? - Hey, any excuse to show them abs, right? - As someone who has lost a parent last year, that scene hits.

The pretty daughter of the deceased couple is actress Lee Sun-bin. She was an idol before. She's also dating Kwang-soo (the tall guy from Running Man) for a while now.

to answer one of your questions DG yes a counter can be possessed by an evil spirit if he has too much rage or hatred in him. Su-mun and Mo-tak could very well topple if they lack control. but the people of Yun basically prevent this kind of thing from happening. They have restored life to the counter; they can take it back if they want. If the counter defies the rules they return to a coma. Each episode of the series has a fairly gripping cliffhanger. I watched each season in one go.

Now this is what I call a cliff hanger! It's almost like in all the super hero comic books they try to keep their identity a secret to prevent the bad guys from hurting their friends and family. I guess So Mun wasn't paying attention when reading all of those. Ga MoTak was the guy who "fell" off of the roof in the prologue so when they showed him as one of the counters I didn't think it was supposed to be a secret that it's the same actor. The look the lieutenant gave him when he asked her if they were on the same team :( That told me that they were in a relationship. I'm very interested in digging into this mystery. I assume that she had to falsify his report or else they would finish the job since he was in a coma. At least it seems clear that she didn't intentionally cover up So Mun's parents deaths. Yeah almost every kdrama seems to have corrupt cops. I can only assume that is how the Korean people feel towards them. I've never seen it as bad as having a wanted criminal freely walking around in the station joking with the cops while his wanted poster is right there. They don't even pretend to not be corrupt in public. I kinda expected the school bully plotline to be wrapped up already but at this point I think you're right. The main bully is 1000% going to get possessed by a demon. The part about can someone be mistaken for an evil spirit. Wi-gen said that anyone who escapes the afterlife is considered an evil spirit. I don't know how one would accidentally escape the afterlife so I don't think we'll run into that. I could however see a spirit with something left unfinished that escapes the afterlife and isn't trying to hurt anybody but just resolve something. The counters would get sent after them and then once they figure out the situation they might help them complete their goal before sending them back to the afterlife since So Mun is willing to do them favors. Kinda like Hotel Del Luna they may need to help the spirit be ready to move on. At the start of the episode when they were chasing that demon after it took the kid and then tried to push a giant gravestone on her I took it as he knows he's being chased so it was more of a trap for Ga Mo Tak to get stuck trying to lift it so the demon could kill both of them instead of getting attacked from behind while try to feed on the girls soul. I'm really enjoying watching this show with you! Loved the reaction as always!

They have to hide the fact that they're Counters and they aren't allowed to use their powers to get revenge or to meddle in human affairs. Nobody said anything about hiding their powers. So technically its not forbidden for Mun to reveal that he can walk now or that he is strong. Medical wonders happen 😉 Also Self Defense should be ok as well. Using his powers to seek out and fight the bullies starts to cross the line. I guess thats somewhat a greyzone but as long as doesnt serously injure or even kill anybody he should be ok. We ve seen the others also use their powers in public and even break arms of humans. But they fixed the injuries and erased their memories.

Stoked to continue this series with you man, I love it. Might start taking notes on thoughts as I watch and doing a big jot-note style comment or something like I've seen others do. Hope it's been enjoyable so far! 💚
