Ok, reading the comments and finding out that Mommy Son is Mad Clown, his performance now makes a lot more sense. But now I wish he just came out as Mad Clown. Then I could take him a lot more serious.

Almost eight years ago I had the leading role in a school play. And during one of the most crucial moments in the story, I started having a coughing fit. Live in front of 200 people. You just have to power through that. I luckily managed to incorporate it into the story. My character had just died and the scene was him being questioned by some afterlife official. So I turned the coughing into a side effect of having died a few minutes ago. - I think this is very silly. Yes, Youngmin was kicked out. But does Mnet really have to pretend that he doesn't exist? - Easy win for the Good Girls here. And it's not even down to the way Mnet butchered the edit on AB6IX, I genuinely think the girls had a much better song and performance. - I just took a look at the performance on Youtube without reaction cuts. During Youngmin's parts they just show the other members or more wide angles and shots from behind. It looks a lot better that way and I don't understand why they didn't use that edit in the episode. But Mnet and bad editing go hand in hand, so... - Ah, now I understand the thumbnail - But what the hell kinda name is Mommy Son - I don't really know any of these rappers. I've only seen Loopy in his collaboration with Hyoyeon. And I've heard the name Nafla a few times. But that's it. - Yeah, I think Wasabii is the only one appropriate to go up against a character like Mommy Son. - Oh fuck, it's Yeeun? - „Am I strange?“ DUDE LOOK AT YOURSELF. And I used to think Psy was weird. - „There aren't any hip hop artist in a group of three.“ Sleeq, did you just forget that Epik High exist? - The audience is pretty loaded once again. Members from A.C.E, JBJ, GWSN, DKZ and Laboum, plus soloists Nada, Rohann and Kanto. - Ok, I do know Wonstein. He did a song with NCT Taeyong last year. - Mommy Son really is the kind of character I'd expect to see in a show like Kill La Kill. - I'm honestly just confused. He looks and acts like this but then brings a performance like that? How am I supposed to evaluate this? - Hot(?) take: Barbie is a much better song that Cherry Coke. But I still don't know how I should rank this round. These two songs are so vastly different from each other and my preference really depends on my current mood.

AB6X I felt a little let down despite really liking the song amd even ignoring the editing. Thing for me it felt like a regular music show performance like Mcountdown or Music core etc. Like any idol group performs their title track with the official choreo and nothing extra to that if you ger what I mean. Now you ask for info on these SMTM rappers. Bro Im a huge khiphop fan whos seem seasons 3 till 11 of SMTM (there are 11 seasons) and thats cause 1 amd 2 are not subbed. 1st Nafla & Loopy. Both are long tike friends who founded their rap crew (MKIT Rain) together). They both came on smtm season 7 as friends and made it to the finals where Nafla won and Loopy placed 2md. They are amazing rappers and performers. To get a feel for what they are about I highly recommend you watch this legendary performance at a festival before wqtching the next episode. I cant asl you to react to it on sich short term so I just mean watch it yourself. You wont regret it and it will get you that much more hyped. Boi B on season 5 (blonde) and Hangzoo slick black hair won season 6 and is truly a top tier rapper. Mommy Son is an alias from OG rapper Kad Clown. Its a "secret" but everyone knows its him because his voice and rapstyle are auper distinct. Hes been a judge on smtm but for shits and giggles decided to participate in season 7 as mommy son only to mess.up his lyrics and get kicked. By now hes made music as this persona, has a YT channel and does many random goofy stuff. But it is a persona, a act. Mad Clown is very talented, extremely skilled and a great lyricist. He performed here as Mommy Som but it was more in ths Mad Clown style although if her just came as mad clown hed propably do better. This persona is fun but music wise it doesnt help him so to speak. Although I did like this song. Barbie I did not really like but thats cuase bubly pop is absolutely not my cup of tea. Just personal preference. I did think the features were unfair but why he did it is admirable. You see.this is Corona time. For most yhese guests its the 1st chance to perform on stage after a long time. Tgese 2 features were absolute nobodies who failed at SMTM but he saw something in them and signed them to his label. For Wonstein he even waited for him to get back from the military. Imagine your career isn't going anywhere and no one knows you. You have to leave it for 2 years for the military as a nobody and you come back to be approached by an OG rapper "you remember me? We talked 2 years ago that I liked your style and music. Sign with me and well make it big" something like that. (And by now 2023 Wonstein is a super star in Korean hiphop and R&B). After having singed these 2 covid came and mommy son had bo chance to out them on a stage yet and show them to the public, so he took this one.

Loopy and Nafla and rythm and power are also very good rappers, they have all participated in several seasons of SMTM and are very respected in the community. we arrive at season 12 of SMTM which makes it the longest-running show on MNET values on the channel. - Mommy son debut in 2018 but Mad clown are first stage name made these debut more than 10 years ago so he is a very experienced rapper. his performance was very cool the song is very touching and it is very clearly different every time with him. he can have very deep or very festive songs, sometimes even songs that border on comic or ridiculous. What is certain is that he is a unique character even in the world of Korean hip hop. -Yeeun the duality in Yeeun is even more pronounced than in Jennie for example in life she is really very cute she doesn't play it like some idols sometimes do. his way of speaking, moving or acting is extremely adorable. but on stage she can become very cold and charismatic or very bubbly and joyful. the Barbie song was made for her and the performance once again was very good. happy and proud of Yeeun victory she gains a lot of confidence to start a solo career after that. but Mommy son could win so it's only a question of taste.

MNET can do a great job on one performance and understand the vibe of the song and ruin another on the same show. for my part I saw all the edited versions of this performance at the time and even if MNET had shown us all it remains a good performance but very simple. Daehwi says it very well, good girls win the hearts of the audience. so it's up to their opponents to seek victory. During the performance there were almost only close-ups of Daehwi and wide shots of the group. but the song is really cool AB6IX has a very cool discography written largely by Daewhi. for your question DG I think that MNET should have simply blurred the member's face; they already did it and it would not have ruined the performance of the others. - the result was very close we know that Hyolin won by a large margin, Hyo/Yeeun/Jiwoo/Jamie/Cheetah also won by a wide margin and Ailee/Sleeq vs Mimi/Yooa was very close I think the result between Ravi and Wasabi was tight also we don't know who won between the 2. for me the 2 teams put on really cool performances so the show wins. but for me 4 performance was above 1 Ailee /Sleeq 2 Hyolin 3 Yooa/Mimi and Jiwoo/Yeeun/Jamie/Cheetah/Hyo

His real identity is a secret but everyone knows it's Mad Clown. When they showed the clip of the other rapper he recruited getting eliminated it showed Mad Clown looking disappointed. Mad Clown's name is Jo Dong-rim. Barbie was a perfect pop song. If only they hired Yeeun to put it in the movie's OST. When Yeeun performed solo recently at some summer festivals she performed Barbie again. It was her first solo song and this is what I was hoping for something similar to with her recent debut but we got Cherry Coke instead. I liked how Yunhway was saying that Yeeun is just acting cute and bubbly but it was really her secret plan to go solo and shine. Also Yeeun calling Jamie unnie really threw me off. Jamie is usually the youngest in every setting I've seen her in. If Mommy's Son did his normal goofy routine it would have been a lot closer I think. He did something nobody was expecting but that isn't necessarily going to get the votes. That's why Yeeun was laughing maniacally after seeing his rehearsal. Rhythm Power was on an episode of Yuqi's Learnway where they gave her rapping lessons. Soyeon was jealous . Loved the reaction as always!

Mommyson is an alias of the rapper Mad Clown lol he was initially a producer on the show but one season he came as a contestant with this alias to hide his identity but everyone knew who it was so it’s kind of a joke now but as an artist he is really unique and cool IMO. You’ll see in the next episode one of the guys accidentally calls him by his name it’s hilarious. Rhythm Power is just Rhythm Power, all of them are great performers and individually auditioned/participated in various seasons of the show and Hangzoo won one season. Nafla came in to his season as a favorite to win and he did. He and Loopy have been friends and performing together for a long time. On their season, they went head to head and Nafla won.

2023-09-29 04:17:43 +0000 UTCI feel that because that Ailee/Sleeq was so epic I tend to forget about Yooa/Mimi's performance, which is a shame really because they were also so good. I love Mimi's rap voice. I hope she'll do a solo one day. Also no doubt about it,The 'witch' is really great Mommy Son brought 2 other artists. That kinda defeats the 1vs1 aspect of that round imo. Yes, Yeeun brought backup dancers but that's a bit different imo,xd.
