- I was fully ready to get into I-Land so imagine my surprise when this popped up in my notifications. But I'm kinda glad, I actually voted for Good Girl! - Queendom Puzzle was ultimately a disappointment. It should not have been called Queendom. It bears no resemblance to the first four seasons. - First time watcher and I'm not familiar with all the artists here. The ones I actually know are Yeeun, Jiwoo, Youngji and Hyoyeon. And I kinda know Jamie from her feature on Kang Daniel's Waves and her appearance on Eric Nam's podcast. - Thank you for sharing my hate for Dance Monkey 🫡 - I'M GOING TO SEE KARD AGAIN IN ONE WEEK AND I AM VERY EXCITED. - I can already see the wholesome energy with Jamie's arrival and I love it! (Unrelated but I keep mistyping her name as Jaime. I definitely watched too much Game of Thrones recently) - It's fucking hilarious how EVERYBODY knows Sleeq but Sleeq has absolutely no idea who anyone is - Except Yeeun apparently and we get a super wholesome story out of it :) - Did anyone ever mention to you that Hyoyeon is a killer DJ too? MIK Festival Paris, everyone was still emotionally recovering from BTOB, DJ Hyo comes out, starts playing dubstep remixes of SNSD songs and I'm ready to throw tf down - God I love Youngji so much - Sleeq's fangirling over Hyoyeon is absolutely adorable. - AND NOW SLEEQ KNOWS WHO THEY ARE. Ok I already have a favourite on this show 😂 - This voting system is definitely better than what they did on QP. - Loopy being in the audience is also interesting because he featured on one of Hyo's songs. But I'm not sure if Dessert came out before or after this show. - Oh shit Cheetah beat Jessi on one of those rap shows. - YES WE GOT LYRIC SUBTITLES THANK YOU - Cheetah's performance is not the style of music I usually listen to but I can't deny that she's good. - Considering that they played a snippet of Devil in Yeeun's introduction, there was only one CLC comeback that came out after this show. And that's Helicopter. After which the end times began for CLC. But hey, at least we just got Sorn and Seungyeon on a song together with Rowdy. I honestly don't really like the song but it was still so nice to finally hear Seungyeon again. - What can I say about Yeeun? She's just amazing. That's all. - Call me King Buldak because I burn my insides regularly with that shit - Queen Wasabii starts and everyone is like ಠ_ಠ - Yeah, I'm not so sure about Wasabii's provocative nature being all that unique. Especially since Jessi was already a well established artist when Good Girl aired. - Alright but Jessi doesn't work in an adult toy shop to my knowledge - Sunglasses guy is having the time of his life. - Not something I'd ever listen to in my own time but at least the audience had fun with it. - We go into Youngji and the BGM is PAROV STELAR? MY FAVOURITE ARTIST OF ALL TIME? Ok Daniel, since you're constantly giving me song recommendations, let me give you one as well. The song they play in the background here is Cuba Libre by Parov Stelar. I suggest you just listen to the entire album it's from: The Burning Spider. One of my all time favourite albums. I don't need you to react to it, just enjoy it whenever in your own time :) (tho a Parov Stelar reaction is something I've never seen anyone do on YT and it would probably be very interesting) - The song Youngji performed is called Dark Room. It's got a music video too! - Fully agree, Youngji gave the best performance so far. - Sleeq is hella based, got it. - I just talked about GoT above and now they play the theme? - Yes, I love what Sleeq stands for. You say that these are things that not anyone should disagree with. But unfortunately a lot of people do. That's why we need people like Sleeq who use their voice in such a meaningful and important way. - Honestly, I didn't enjoy this much on a musical level but lyrically this is really good stuff. Like I mentioned, this is my first time watching this and so far I'm really enjoying this. It's a very nice change from the usual bullshit that Mnet throws at us.

I knew you were gonna like this show! And it only gets better! Youll witness some amazing collab stages in the future! A lot to comment. 1st I agree with your idea for the polls. Narrow them down for what your interested in. Imo its better that way. Say you are excited for show A but B gets picked. You could be a bit disappointed which can prevent you from enjoying show B to its fullest while.if you watch show B later without something else in the back of your head, you might like it more. If that makes sense. Now the stages. Cheetah. I liked it and surely would never have noticed the mistake. I have however seen better from Cheetah. To me this seemed a little easy for her. Just go on stage and rap this song which I did many times. (very good rapping still). It was good but imo she can do better. Yeeun. I liked it quite a lot. Whats not to like? But I got Yunhway's comment. It was a little like a group performance done alone. For me it lacked a little individualism. Sje didnt feel like a solo artist but like I was waiting for the rest of CLC to join in. Same as Cheetah. It was good but she can do better. Queen Wasabi. Its not my style but I respect it a lot. We should concider that tjis is Korea. Its the tend and the norm here but there absolutely not. Its is getting more there too but not back then. You should see how much hate Jessi always got. This is the country that cencors tattoos. Within the music industry and among artists these things are not that frowned upon but the Korean gp does not accept.this. I understand Sleeq is very ol with it because this also goes against how Korean society in general dictates women should behave. As for your "more melodic style" commebt for her future, its basically what she does nowadays. You should know she is a full rookie here. This is her 1st broadcast after having a semi amatuer song going viral that she recorded in her room (self written and produced). She has grown a lot as an arist since then. Youngji. My favorite performance. Shes also one of my favorite female Korean artists. Everything was perfect to me.and she is a PERFORMER! Love her. Sleeq. I loved her ballsiness and her message. I call BS on the comments who said no impact or they didn't get it. Korea in general is very homophobic and unaccepting of minorities. The ones who didn't hear the message, didn't want to hear it imo.  Looking forward to episode 2!

RichB1901

I must've gotten this show completely confused with something else bc I had no idea it was about rappers but I'm glad I watched your reaction. It was actually quite enjoyable. I was also surprised at how old it was. I only realized it was a few years old when they showed Yeeun talking to the other members and referring to CLC in present tense. That realization stung a little. Gonna say Youngji is my fav. She's so good. I'm also looking forward to Jamie bc I've always liked her personality. A few of the others I'd never heard of. I agree with you about some of the comments about Sleeq's performance being surprising. I don't know if they literally could not understand it or if they don't understand the concept of the lyrics bc if it's that I call BS. Just bc you don't relate doesn't mean you can't understand. These people work in entertainment. They're not as sheltered from the subject as people want to claim so dismissing the impact of her words would just be ignorant. However, I feel like the other contestants reason for not giving her a thumbs up was completely valid. If it's not your vibe then it's not your vibe but they still all acknowledged how profound her statement was. Looking forward to the next episode.

...Wasabi & Sleeq - true There was controversy regarding idols wearing or reading books that are associated with feminism.

Saw the reaction again. - You can see how much Yeeun grew as a person, because, in 'Good Girls', she was more timid or shy than in 'Queendoom Puzzle'. - Jiwoo and Jamie's meeting is one of the funniest things I saw in the first ep because of the change in her demeanor once she saw Jamie. - Sleeq surprised me a lot the first time I saw the show, She is called 'The Feminist from hell', but I feel that this does not fit her at all, and there are qualities in her that I wish I had. - While Queen Wasabii did not know how Sleeq would react, we can still see that Sleeq enjoyed the song and I like how Sleeq respects Queen Wasabii's performance. - Queen Wasabii ... ... RECPECT! I do not like this type of music, but I loved that she was true to herself. - Cheetah is like Jessi for me; they both look fierce, but they are actually very soft people once you know them. - I think the casting of the show did a great job when they searched for the members; I felt that they personally matched well. - I also like the vibe of the show, while some of them don't know each other after a short period of time, it feels like they are friends.

Olga

I'm already happy to have joined the Patreon for this show! The first 2 episodes are definitely more of an intruduction to the members and also for them to get to know each other but as you said all these solo performances already show quite well, who they individually are as artists. No spoilers but after this introduction when the actual competition and the collabs start, it's still one of my all time favourite comfort shows to watch. Also regarding Wasabi & Sleeq, we have to keep in mind that these are things Korea is very much NOT used to, they arent used to these type of expressions and progressive topics as other countries so it's understandable how some of them in the audience were just completely shocked and didnt know what to do.

Yop Queen wasabi was not my cup of tea . i can't understand all the twerking thing what the point with that ? i don't know she's seems very bubbly and everything but it's to much for an INFJ like Me .

Yeah me2. I've tried to look up when we've first start recommending Good Girl (and Produce) but couldn't find it. Patreon doesn't have an option to search comments either 😕

very good idea DG I submitted this idea a long time ago. It seems to me that polling based on the shows you most want to see is the best way to never get frustrated. we submit shows to you and it's up to us to make you want to see them. - and finally we will be able to see you react to GOOD GIRL DG I'm so happy you're going to love this show I guarantee it. - what I like with this program is that MNET has succeeded in bringing together artists who are quite varied and not particularly accustomed to being on TV very often. So we have quite raw and very sincere artists. But with a good state of mind. not like in street woman fighter where there were resentments between certain participants and a somewhat belligerent spirit. the show and the performance are also quite minimalist, no big set or a lot of production. but very good quality. frankly I hope that MNET will keep this concept of show. - in fact DG I would say that to compare the shows there are - QUEENDOM, GP99, PRODUCE series etc. very positive shows with a state of mind of surpassing oneself and of fraternity and friendship - there is SWF, SMTM where the spirit is much more based on winning before anything else than crushing others. - GOOD GIRL a unique show that keeps the team spirit and the friendship of Queendom-type survival shows and a raw, free and slightly crazy side that we have in variety shows. -if there was need for proof of the impact of SNSD on the Korean music industry we had it here to see that a pure rapper artist like Sleeq who does not know much about the KPOP scene knows SNSD this demonstrates their popularity over the years hell yes Ailee is number 1 representative diva in korea. if Hyolin is the Korean Beyoncé, Aille is for sure the Korean Mariah Carrey - Crispy chiken recognized a lot of people in the audience, there is indeed -Doyeon and Yoojeong and Elly from WEKI MEKI -Yubin from wonder girl - Saewoo Nada and Giant pink female rapper and who participated in Unprett rapstar season 3 with Jeon Soyeon - DIA's Yubin - Nafla, Loopy, Kanto, Los, Kjun, Dick punk, Jenyer, Gree, Bigone all rappers - Ulala session

fabrice maire

i'm so hyped for that i wait for that show and for the produce series since the beginning . i can't wait for the Sleeq x Ailee performance . just one of the best performance i see on korean show of all time i cry all the time .

Woohoo! Good Girl won! Now I'm excited. - I like that they have let you know that the first episodes has a little bit of evil editing. At least now you're prepared for it and can look forward to when they stop doing it. - Killer lineup - "They call it Good Girl but only Bad Girls show up" 😂 I love that line. She's not wrong though. - Yunhway having trouble with the door is adoorable? 😌 (pronounced: yoon- hway) - I like the explanation of not voting for someone: "I can't quite picture doing a stage together yet". That's so different from the "drop" team, "downvote", "think you can do better", etc. - Even the audience is stacked. I recognized: - members from Weki Meki - Nada and Giant Pink (female rappers) - Yubin (Wondergirls) - Sohee (Nature) - members from DIA - Truedy (female rapper) - Loopy (male rapper) - Wa$abi wasn't "just" shocking for me, she gave a show and worked the crowd, aka great at performing. - the only Q's I know are from The Boyz and James Bond, but I don't think Young Ji was rapping about them either. - Yeah, Young Ji"s skills are just insane. - What's with the Game of Thrones music? 😅 - Sleeq's intro might have sounded repetitive but instead of cutting it shorter I would've liked if there was more "rise" in her delivery. I recently watched reactors react to Killing In The Name Of by Rage Against The Machine for the first time (quite entertaining) and there's also quite a lot of repetition in that song, but the singer's "rise" in delivery keeps it fresh and engaging. - another thing about Sleeq's performance, ppl might say she was just standing still, or didn't like her flow, that it was a bit monotonous or repetitive, a lack of melody, etc. but on the other hand, weren't you also holding your breath and wondering what will happen next? Wondering what she'll say? You're hanging onto her lips basically, and that's a great skill. - and then you basically said the same thing 😅🤝 - apart from the little evil editing I do like this from Mnet: - the narrative of robbing Mnet - inviting Wa$abi and airing her performance (even if censured)

I saw his show many times and few of the songs are in my playlist. I appreciate all the contestants in the show, and I personally love to see them grow in the show and see how easily and fast they bond with each other. Also, I feel that this type of show is more relaxed and I can see it reflected in the contestants.
