Strangers From Hell Episode 5 - REACTION

Comments

The OG oldboy is a masterpiece, the 2013 remake was... Interesting lol.I loved the actors involved and Spike Lee's movies in general but that one just didn't do it for me. Original Oldboy all the way :)

Wow, was it a while since I've thought about Supernatural ๐Ÿ˜„ Now I wonder which version of Oldboy you watched - the Korean or the 2013 one ๐Ÿ˜ The only thing I remember from Oldboy is how the main character cut out his own tongue ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Lmao, I hope there's no sulfer or rotten egg smells in your place, you might need some salt!! SORRY I instantly thought of Supernatural for some reason ๐Ÿ˜… Oh, Oldboy, what a film, and then that twist...

Man, I was so excited for your reaction to this episode, and you didn't disappoint, I had a feeling you'd have a lot to say ๐Ÿ˜„ I love that you just completely lost it at the end ๐Ÿคฃ The creep factor gets amped up with each episode for sure! I just remembered, when I first started watching this show, for some reason, I believed it would be a show about ghosts. I saw that poster (the one you used for the thumbnail of the episode) and the synopsis which said: 'mysterious events start occurring in the apartment, causing Jong Woo to begin fearing the apartment's residents' and I just convinced myself that the residents will be ghosts ๐Ÿ˜… It's only after 3 episodes that I realised there is no supernatural genre, maybe I naturally expected monsters because it was said to be horror ๐Ÿซ  Ayy, I watched both Secret Window and Oldboy, I still remember how shook I was at the Secret Window plot twist! I definitely share your views on horror. As a child I hated horror because I scared easily and had nightmares. But as a grown-up, I now hate them because they don't scare me, so they just end up being boring or funny ๐Ÿ˜… The only horror that managed to terrify me as an adult was IT (2017) and Strangers From Hell and both had three things in common: the psychological aspect, creepy atmosphere build-up, and bone-chilling villains. I'm not the type to get scared at horror movie jumpscares, so I realised I'm more into psychological horror that messes with your head and slowly builds the tension. Moments in the show where characters investigate dodgy places alone, when they try to escape silently, or when Jong Woo watched the twins in secret had my heartbeat pumping, and had me on the edge of my seat constantly! I definitely can't handle things that mess with my psychology, especially since so many disturbing moments in the show feel too real, like they could happen to an actual person, therefore they're way more terrifying ๐Ÿซฃ (No joke, my lights started flickering and went out just as I was writing this comment ๐Ÿ˜ฌ)

- This entire studio is just gaslight central. - God, this fucking show is stressing me out. Everyone is so fucking horrible. - There are *several* people in this show I want to die Final Destination style. - Oh great, the officer just entered the murder floor alone. - Jae-ho you absolute fucking human scum - At least the taxi driver is a decent person. - nonononONONONONONONONO

DG little knowledge KIM JIEUN the actress who play JIEUN is actualy a host in a music show INKIGAYO every weeks on SBS.

the thing is that Jong Woo doesn't really need to be in this residence at this point he could very well go back to his mother's house which would be much better or ask Jieun del 'host at least the time he finds a correct apartment. so if he doesn't there can only be 2 reasons. 1 his pride is much too great that he prefers to live in these conditions rather than ask for help 2 He somehow fits perfectly into this madhouse

Malte laurids Bridgses is a Danish author who lived in Paris in the 1910s/1920s. he is a poet who wrote 71 new autobiographical stories of his childhood and his life in paris. he tells among other things how he met mentally disturbed people how much he was confronted with death. he says there that he met a very large number of beggars, disfigured people and emotionally broken people. He went through a real trauma.

the first thing i thought when i watched the show for the first time was . as he is a writer with post traumatic disorder is . Is everything he sees real? the second thing i thought is that maybe this show is not what it seems to be a thriller but rather a fantasy series. to know that what Joog woo writes in his novel materializes in real life and these fictional characters come to life. with inspirations like Alan wakes or fenรจtre secrete (with johnny deep.) the two works speak of writers who have lost their minds.
