2023-04-29 16:55:44 +0000 UTCI will say that my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S21 FE) has a really good mic for recording concerts. Especially compared to some of my earlier phones. I recorded a bit of a Galantis show back in 2018 with my Huawei P8 and those videos are completely unlistenable. But my videos today sound really good, sometimes even slightly better than in person. I wear earplugs to protect my hearing (and everyone else should too) but it does impact the sound a bit. I was lucky enough to secure tickets to see them twice (ha!) and I would be spoiling myself here. But the Berlin shows are still four and a half months away so fuck it I guess. I will probably need to put up one of my kidneys for sale because holy fuck, this was not cheap. NAYEON SOLO - Damn, that's some good zoom on that camera - I wouldn't call Pop one of my favourite songs but it's really fun and sometimes this kind of music is just what I need. GO HARD, MORE & MORE, MOONLIGHT SUNRISE, BRAVE - You haven't heard the Eyes Wide Open album yet, right? Go Hard would be new to you? - I am having second thoughts about watching this right now. Shit, now I know about the silhouette choreo - Ah okay. I didn't watch your other Twice reactions on Patreon so I didn't know you heard Go Hard already. But I've had something similar happen to me. While I don't react to music on camera, I do have a specific setting in which I want to experience a song for the first time: at home, wearing my good headphones. Watching the music video if there is one or as part of an album without stopping in between songs because I want to get the effect of how the album flows. And everything in strict chronological order of release. Seriously, when I get into a new group, I don't even listen to their most popular songs first. No, instead I go all the way back to their debut and work my way forward. It has taken me eight months to listen to Taeyeon's INVU album because I literally had over 30 other albums I needed to go throught first. When it comes to Kpop, I'm a completionist who doesn't compromise. And I don't want a live show to be the first time I hear a song. This is why I listened to the entire discography of Monsta X as fast as I could before the Kpop Flex festival last year. However, sometimes it doesn't work. I just don't have the time to get to everything as fast as I would need to. Case in point: Jay Park. I have not watched a single one of his MVs yet. But I am quite familiar with his music because it always gets played at the Kpop parties I go to. And I've seen him live twice already. Festivals. I know songs like Mommae and Me Like Yuh in and out because of this and I have never even sat down to listen to them on my own. Weirdly enough, this completionist attitude of mine only applies to Kpop. I'm much more relaxed when it comes to other genres, just listening to whatever I come across in any order. Sometimes I even go to a concert without knowing any songs before. I've done that with Nightwish, The Midnight and a few others. - I swear, Momo will be the death of me. - Very interesting take on More & More in terms of stage design. - Lowkey reminds me of NCT Dream's concert performance of Quiet Down where three of them were confined in glass boxes for the entire song and the choreography pulled everything out of that concept. Mesmerizing. - This reminds me that I've only really heard Between 1&2 that one time when it came out. I barely remember Brave. Shame on me JIHYO SOLO - This song has not been offically released yet, right? - Okay, Jihyo solo debut when? DAHYUN SOLO - Emerging with a grand piano like Amy Lee at an Evanescence concert. Damn. - I don't know the original song but this is nice. SANA SOLO - Oh yeah, I've seen the gifs. - Good lord. SET ME FREE, I CAN'T STOP ME - Fucking annoying ass people who came in late and are blocking the view. - What an opening to this concert. - If you want to know the actual order for any concert, setlist.fm is a really good source! - Kai's Rover promotions were a truly special time. He did the challenge with absolutely EVERYONE no matter how big or small the group. And he also did all of their challenges. Seeing him together with Remi of Cherry Bullet, Karin of Craxy or Taeyang of SF9 was so cool. - I Can't Stop Me is so nostalgic to me. This was my first Twice song and generally one of the first Kpop songs I heard. Takes me back to the time when all of this was still so new and exciting. - My Twice Top 5 definitely has at least 25 songs in it. ALCOHOL-FREE, DTNA, TTT - Live band 🤌🤌 This is what I loved about the Blackpink concert as well - Why is Jeongyeon's mic so quiet here? - Talk That Talk is peak Twice. - To be fair, this was also one of the first two concerts of this tour. It's just getting started so obviously energy levels are still high. What's important now is that they get enough days to rest in between the remaining concerts of the tour. Because I've seen what happens when that is not the case. When I saw Loona towards the end of their world tour last year, three members were completely absent due to health problems and Yeojin sat on a stool towards the side. For some reason she joined the choreography of PTT at the end and almost fucking collapsed on stage. But looking at Twice's tour schedule, they should be fine probably. It's nowhere near as insane as what Loona were put through. JEONGYEON SOLO - THE FUCKING RECORDER I CAN'T - Jeongyeon lowkey has my favourite voice in Twice. MOMO SOLO - Well, the title does say Momo, but only if you can read Hangul - Like I said, Momo will be the death of me. I should start writing my testimony because I'll be needing it by 13th September. What a woman, good lord. MOONLIGHT, WHEN WE WERE KIDS, CRAZY STUPID LOVE - Nope, this is part of the main set. - The roulette game is the encore! The roulette is how they decide which songs to sing during the encore. So yes, you did miss four songs there! TT, Wallflower, Basics and Like Ooh-Ahh in this case. - This reaction already is almost two hours long. Guess your plan to keep it compact didn't quite work :D - ok jihyo go off BLAME IT ON ME, QUEEN OF HEARTS, TITLE TRACK MEDLEY - I really hope they bring this live band along on the rest of the tour. - Look at some of these fans dual wielding their lightsticks :D - Oh shit, Dahyun found the camera - Ah yes, the anti-consent song. I really don't like Yes or Yes. The lyrics are basically „your consent does not matter to me“. Eugh. Sucks that they had to put such an awful message into such a catchy song. - The legendary Shyshyshy MINA SOLO - oh shit this is the one - I am afraid. Because they are usually wildin even more in their concerts outside Korea. What will I witness in September and will I survive? FEEL SPECIAL, CRY FOR ME, FANCY, THE FEELS - Zhang Shuaibo pay attention. This is how it's done! - Cry For Me rock version? Holy shit. - Ok, this stage design with the lifts is crazy. - Like I said, Seoul was the first two concerts. This tour has barely started. Australia is next and then USA. What they just announced were the Southeast Asian and European legs of the tour (fucking finally, they've ignored us for so long) CHAEYOUNG SOLO - Not gonna lie, I feel very weird about Chaeyoung right now, so let's just move on. TZUYU SOLO - I need a Tzuyu solo debut pronto! All of her covers have shown that she can absolutely carry on her own. Yes, this playlist was EXTREMELY out of order. Again, if you need to know the setlist order of any concert, the website setlist.fm is the best source for that! Just search for the artist there and it'll spit out a list of concerts. For big artists like Twice, the setlists are usually complete and correct. I did have another ticket for Sunday but i have been stuffed around with it so i went and got another VIP/soundcheck ticket for the Sunday concert. So i see them 4 times in 2 days. Cant wait
