It was crazy to me when I first watched this a while back. I recognized the name and had seen a video or 2 of them but couldn't necessarily reemember or recognize most of the members from seeing those. Watched the show because it was on a list of must watch kpop survival shows I found and I was interested to learn more aboout the group. Anytime an elimination came up I didn't know how many were in the group later or who made it to debut so I cried eveery elimination episode and during the Finale. I totally feel for your first time reaction. Still heartbreaking watching it back but knowing what happened after has definitely changed it for this second viewing for me.

2023-01-29 13:26:29 +0000 UTCYeah I think JYP just doesn't like I.N's slightly nasal tone (which isn't stuffy or wrong, it's a natural thing) AND his voice is changing and so his tone is kinda all over the place because it's just not mature yet. But I've always had the sense that JYP just didn't like I.N for whatever reason. He wasn't JYPs favorite type of idol. His sound, look, everything. He always found something to criticize. Poor. I.N.

2023-01-28 21:39:23 +0000 UTCEverytime I watch this show I want to cry. Jeongin I think gets the harshest critiques throughout the whole show. To me his singing isn't bad at all at this time, it's just that his vocal tone is really unique and he still hasn't found the best way to use that to his advantage. Also, with his dance it's true that Jeongin has had to work hard on improving in that aspect, but what he lacks for in dance skill he makes up for it in his top notch stage presence. It was really frustrating to not see JYP acknowledge that at all because his stage presence made the performance in my opinion. Also, I get where JYP comes from when he says one member didn't stand out as much like Han this episode, but I also think that if every single member stood out it would ruin the overall performance. I think some concepts fit better with certain members and if you try and stand out in a concept that's not your best then it just looks too forced and takes away from the member that may stand out naturally in that specific song. Thanks for your reaction and commentary as always, this show always gives me mixed feelings. I love seeing how the boys have improved and their dynamics in the beginning, but the pressure and hardship they went through is so hard to watch.

But I was kind of glad that he aknowledged the fact that he'd improved. The end of this episode on the other hand is pure horror. Credits for you that you can wait till next week. Although I knew what skz would look like I needed to watch the next episode.
