Chuu Can Do It Athletics Competition - EP 25 & 26 REACTION

Chuu Can Do It Athletics Competition - EP 25 & 26 REACTION

Comments

"Was BBC always a shitty company?" Probably. One thing I do know is that when I went to their concert this year, there were only 8 left. Most members were wearing muscle-tapes and Yeojin had to sit out during the dances. Soooo many injuries which clearly indicated that the girls were being overworked. Their schedule was insane as well. Yet BBC did absolutely nothing about it. Orbits that had bought tickets and were very excited to see them were begging BBC to cancel the tour and let the girls rest. But no.

Yup Running Girls is great too. Secret Unnie is also nice, where an older idol gets to take care of a younger idol. Like Sunmi with Seulgi for example.

The funny thing is, if you go back to older content (which you absolutely shouldn't, for obvious reasons) and older conversations about Loona, you will absolutely see a ton of praise for Bloviating Bastards Derivative. I remember getting into kpop in 2020 and still seeing a lot of Orbits defending their ways and stuff. The predebut era was still fresh in everyone's minds, and it's still a very unique project. Keep in mind though, that a lot of kpop fans (maybe even most of them)... have sort of accepted the industry's scummy ways. Orbits were no exception. But the constant mismanagement, wasted opportunities, and finally all of the crap that happened this year was clearly the final straw. On a less serious note, CCDI is great, although I agree with KyrainMcLeod that it varies wildly in quality. Some of my favourite episodes that haven't been mentioned: - The Running Girls reunion episode where she meets up again with Hani and Chungha (The Last Episode of the Chuu Can Do It) (and no, it's not actually the last episode lol) - Chuu Collection I Chuu Can Do It Unreleased (just a collection of behind the scenes clips and outtakes from early episodes, fun stuff) - The very first episode where she works part-time at an eco-friendly cafe - Her day trip episode with Choerry (The buddymoon with Choerry) There's more, but that's a good start I guess... Yes, I can't recommend Yuqi's Learn Wave - I mean, Learn Way enough. It's a lot of fun, and Yuqi is a variety genius. I've seen some episodes with Mijoo, they're also fun, but Mijoo brings a totally different energy to the show. I'd be happy to recommend some individual episodes if you want to get started! Other shorter shows I can recommend: - (G)I-DLE Secret Folder (4 episodes + 4 behind the scenes cuts) hilarious skits which parody some misconceptions about the group - (G)I-DLE Yuqi with WJSN Yeoreum + Exy - The First Date (4 episodes) it's supposed to be a heartwarming show about female idols becoming friends, instead it becomes a drama where ExQi troll and third-wheel an increasingly jealous Yeoreum lol Btw, headphone warning for those two shows. Goes for pretty much any (G)I-DLE and WJSN content. As for Loona... there's random variety appearances, but a lot of their content is sadly owned and hosted by BBC. Even the non-BBC content, I don't know if Blockberry gets any kickback from views or whatever. What a goddamn shame, really.

Oh damn, didn't expect a Chuu Can Do It reaction - if you are going to react again then I can't recommend a specific episode as they are all fun, funny and actually can be informative etc - the whole premiss of the channel is making people aware about saving the world / recycling / sustainability etc

Well this is a nice surprise. And on the day I just happened to wear my Loona shirt. Obligatory Fuck BBC right at the start. They really had the audacity to start preorders for Loona Season's Greetings today as if all of the Orbits that have successfully been boycotting the comeback were suddenly gonna buy that. - Yeah, good call on not supporting anything on BBC's official channels. Chuu Can Do It is indeed a fully separate entity that BBC cannot profit off of. - I have only seen a couple of CCDI episodes so I can't give you any recs right now. This is the first time I'm watching these specific ones too. - Just did a quick count, YES ALL TWELVE ARE HERE. AS IT SHOULD BE. - Alright, DG is already drooling over Kim Lip. Don't let this man see her solo MV 😂 - Fun fact about Kim Lip: the native Korean spelling of her birth name Kim Jung-eun is the exact same as the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. They're both 김정은. I just realised this the other day and I don't know what to do with this knowledge. - I tried archery at a medieval market once. It's hard as shit. Even more so with a medieval style bow that doesn't have all the bells and whistles of modern archery. - Alright then Heejin Hood. - I would assume no. BBC has always treated the girls pretty poorly. The members have talked about how difficult the predebut period was for them. Harsh working conditions, extreme diets (Olivia was ordered to drop 6kg in a week before they let her debut) and total uncertainty if this whole project would even work out. yyxy (Yves Chuu Gowon Olivia subunit) did a photoshoot at a diner with real burgers and everything and they were not allowed to eat any of it. They didn't even get a proper meal most days. And now we also know about the exploitative slave contracts they were forced into. Expenses are split 50/50 but 70% of the revenue goes to BBC. Which means the more Loona work, the deeper into debt they go. They would need a profit margin of 40% to actually make any money. Apparently the company with the current highest profit margin by far is JYP at 32%. 10 - 20% is the norm. Loona had a margin of 7%. They were made to be unpaid slaves to BBC and they probably realised this a while ago which is why Chuu was the first one to file for an injunction in 2021. And you know what happened after that. - Haseul speaking like a true mom :D - Is it hand-fencing or just slapping? - Olivia was MADE for this - LoONa mEMbeRs vIOleNtLY bEAt uP anD AbUse bBc CoMpAnY stAfF 😳😱 - Convenience stores like 7-11 aren't really a thing in Germany either. I am also envious of the countries that have them. - Whaat, Heejin and Kim Lip are your favourites? That's such a huge surprise! - We support them by not supporting them! - It's true, Heejin is THE ace. - Let's be real, with how shady Go Won is, picking herself as the MVP is absolutely something she'd do. - And then of course it's Hyunjin who actually picks herself :D - The last face BBC's CEO sees before he dies I just had the biggest grin on my face for the past hour. Thank you for finally getting me to watch this :)

I saw someone mentioning running girls with sunmi Hanni yooa and chuu it’s a good and relaxing series to watch! Only 4 episodes

lllllllllllalaaa

As for Yuqi’s Learnway it’s similar to chuu can do it all episodes are so good I wish you would do all episodes for both show but I guess you can’t so I will also send you a list of my favorite episodes! Thanks again

lllllllllllalaaa

As an orbit thank you so much, it feels so nice to see you discovering our girls and falling for them. All chuucandoit episodes are awesome so you can just pick any! Buy there are episodes where loona members stare in such as the camping episode, the asmr episode, the areal yoga episode and a vlog to daegu. Some very popular episodes are the ones where chuu go with her mic in the streets of Seoul and just interact with random people !! In the new season (ssn2) chuu does sports and the episodes have been top tier so far! There s the taekwondo episode that was great and an episode with Miyeon and Eunbi !!! I will send you a list when I have more time in early January

lllllllllllalaaa

yes i know all idols punch like that (it's for not being injured )

fabrice maire

about pure strengh the most popular opinion is than the 3 most powerfull female idols from the 10 past years SOYOU (sistar) SEJEONG (I.O.I/Gugudan/actress /soloist ) and Bomi (a-pink) all of them can battle with man in armwrestling . or punch game .

fabrice maire

for blockberry creative. they just saw too big. touring 43 mv's in 4 years and investing 1 year just to launch the girls one by one was too ambitious. then there is the problem of contracts 70/30% of revenue for the benefit of the agency and 50/50 on expenditure. the girls did not pay attention to their contract, only CHUU's mother found it unacceptable. in general the contract for big agencies like JYP is 50/50 of distribution. YG does better with 60/40 for their artists. but the smaller agencies have very varied contracts. for the moment, apart from CHUU, the members of LOONA are not paid because their contract stipulates that they have not reimbursed all the costs of the agency (you surprise me with such a distribution). so even if the girls want to leave they won't be able to until they have reimbursed. BBC will do everything to ensure that the group does not break up before that.

fabrice maire

in fact, there are a few agencies that have a really bad reputation (Cube or PLEDIS) for example, but their reputation comes mainly from the fact that they have been criticized for poor management. then there are the agencies which are almost blacklisted because of a repeated scandal. Like (YG or STAR EMPIRE) yg for the drug scandals of B.Iou PARK BOM but especially for the filthy burning sun scandal and at the center of the Seugri scandal members of the major group of YG BIG BANG .and star empire for the moral and sexual harassment against the members of 9 muses .and then there are 90% of the agencies with whom everything goes very well. kiss) happy face (dreamcatcher), Hybe (Bts, txt)

fabrice maire

some very good idols in archery from the previous ISAC edition ( 4minute the all group is great archer ) BTOB (silverlight ) Eunkwang one of the most memorable in ISAC history ,but also WHEEIN (Mamamoo) Solji and Hyelin (exid) ,and the historic match between the 2visual godess in kpop IRENE vs TZUYU

fabrice maire

DG you got all the episode of this show on KSHOW123 all translate so far 82 épisodes but the quality is just ok 720P

fabrice maire

I take time to stan Loona ( but i got already to many groups to follow ) and the fact than the agency take to much time to introduce them as a full group make me give up . and they're first songs are not really my cup of tea. but i alway's loved Chuu and her positive energy . now than i know them more i think if they can survive after they're current big crisis i think my bias will be between Jinsoul and Heejin

fabrice maire

for CCDI you can watch the episode 14 with Chungha and Hani (exid). or the last one with Miyeon and Eunbi .

fabrice maire

i love that kind of show . you can see the talent of idols in another field the sport field . every year the kpop industry had they're won Olympics games call ISAC .usualy it's during the summer break or holydays . but also every years they got also a label sport games ( all idols and actor from the same agency meet each other and go on week they play various games and sports and it's alway's funny . DG if you're interested the last one i watch is the STARSHIP gathering .you got WJSN ,MONSTA X ,SEVENTEEN ,IVE but also some actors like Kwang soo ,Song seungheon ,Oh Ahyeon ,Lee dongwook etcc..

fabrice maire

Yes 100% second the "running girls" suggestion! Other than just seeing them bond it was interesting to hear them give such insight on how much they've struggled with their own mental health throughout their time as idols. Also, Ngl seeing them all turn into such mothers with Chuu was adorable especially Sumni.

Laura

Thank you so much for getting around to this! I'll probably forever have burned into my brain that clip of Hyunjin on stage at their last concert crying and begging everyone to remember that Loona is 12 so I like to occasionally go back to something like this where they were able to have fun and just relax especially since I think the CCDI staff have always seemed to be really caring. I have only ever had my 2 ult groups and while I know kpop stans are constantly going thru the heartache of their fav groups disbanding all the time this is the first time that it's looking like I'm going to have to feel the loss of one of mine but I hope they can at least finally get a resolution to this soon. It's honestly bizarre the amount of bad luck they've had over the years. It's always one step forward 2 steps back so maybe it's for the best but if and when you do decide to dive back into the whole Loona discovery I'll definitely be around to watch. As for more CCDI I'd really love to see you come back to it occasionally. I haven't seen every episode but some of the best ones to me are when she has guests. The flying yoga ep with Yves was really good as well as the camping one with 2jin, and she just recently did one with Eunbi (Izone) and Miyeon (g idle) that I think you'd like. Again, thanks a lot, made my morning!

Laura

The quality of CCDI varies wildly. Some episodes are basically elaborate commercials, while others are really great entertainment. If you are looking for good episodes, my recommendations would be: - The most recent one (feat. Miyeon (()-Idle and Kwon EunBi). Three agents of chaos visit a buddhist temple. - Future Foods (EP75) - Chuu checking if people in the park finish their food (EP66) - Camping with Heejin and Hyunjin (EP43) - Chuu gets what she deserves... (EP28)

KyrainMcLeod

CCDI is great, I binge-watched it the last two weeks (due to obvious reasons). Just know that the focus of the show most of the time is environmental-friendly activities, like recycling, upcycling, avoiding creating trash or collecting trash, and so on. However Chuu always turns even the most somber topics into peak comedy. Another show I can strongly recommend is "Running Girls". Hanni (EXID) discovered running/jogging as a great way to relieve stress and wants to introduce this to ChungHa, Sunmi, YooA (Oh my Girl) and Chuu. So they go on trips to nice location for running and basically have sleep-overs in between. 4 episodes with about 1h15min each.
