2023-03-30 03:15:18 +0000 UTCa little late again but just want to give my two cents about the fan meeting last episode and the O.O.O mission I undestand mnet a bit why they didn't showed the full fan meeting last episode, I think people bought tickets to be on that fan meeting. Fan meets for kpop groups are always a "paid" content so mnet not showing it full for free is understandable. About this episode, the O.O.O mission were a youtube voting thing so i think it is also understandable for mnet to only show the highlights of the performances so the youtube videos would garner more views. Although i agree with you that showing the full fan meeting and the performances within the episode is better.

2022-12-26 04:56:24 +0000 UTCMerry Christmas everyone! I'm a girl group stan and watching GP999 live was traumatizing enough so I will be skipping boys planet. If Hui is in it I'll watch some clips of it. Feel free to include it in the poll but I won't be voting for broduce or boys planet. I wish mnet wouldn't skip over the actual performances and drag out the eliminations a little bit less(a lot less)! As I mentioned last week Mnet only showed the OOO 99 member performance on youtube where in other produces seasons they actually include it in the show because why would they assume everyone watched it on youtube if they're tuning in to the show on their tv. Here I assume they fast forwarded through the 9 member OOO performances because they assumed that everyone had already watched the 99 version and were sick and tired of the show. I'm still of the opinion that Bahiyyih is good but never stood out from the crowd so I would have included almost anyone else in the top 27 in the top 18. Multiple times she was in groups where nobody was willing to volunteer to be the leader, main vocalist, killing part, or any other part for that matter. If she just raised her hand on the show once for any part I would have been fine with her making it into the group. Someone made a chart of all the parts each member had during the show and Bahiyyih is the only person in Kepler that never had any of those positions. As soon as Mnet changed the voting rules the split between the groups went from 1/3 for each country to 1/2 Koreans with 100% of the K group members in the top 27 making the top 18. As Marcel mentioned the vote a few days before the live finally was 8 out of 9 Koreans in the top 9. Mnet's editing almost worked too well by completely ruining the illusion of the show being a multinational group. I'm glad that mnet let Chen Hsin Wei say her piece at the end but in general asking the eliminated contestants to speak right when they get eliminated is a bad idea. If this was a western show I'd expect they'd be likely to curse out the show. I love Kim Suyeon but if they would have just eliminated her here then she might have been able to debut with Billlie from the start instead of joining them late. Obviously I was thrilled she made it when watching this live but hindsight is 20/20 and I love Billlie. As I mentioned in the last kdrama post I hope after this show people vote for you to react to something less stressful :) Loved the reaction as always! Be sure to bring a drink and snacks because the next one is going to be a long one :)

As I mentioned, Mnet released an interim ranking for the votes for the final debut group a few days before the broadcast of episode 12. We don't know exactly why they did that but a theory is that the votes were NOT going as Mnet wanted and they put out this ranking to get the public to vote more in favor of Mnet's picks. These were the ranks four days before the finale: 1. Kim Chaehyun 2. Choi Yujin 3. Kim Dayeon 4. Seo Youngeun 5. Huening Bahiyyih 6. Kang Yeseo 7. Kim Suyeon 8. Guinn Myah 9. Su Ruiqi 10. Fu Yaning 11. Kim Bora 12. Ezaki Hikaru 13. Kawaguchi Yurina 14. Sakamoto Mashiro 15. Nonaka Shana 16. Shen Xiaoting 17. Wen Zhe 18. Huang Xingqiao The Top 9 consisted almost entirely of Koreans, with only Ruiqi being there in 9th. Xiaoting almost at the bottom of the ranks. I could actually kinda understand if Mnet was panicking because the votes were definitely turning rather weird. But at the same time, it was kinda predictable. Korean fans were given much more voting power than everyone else, as they alone controlled 50% of the score. And Koreans tend to favor Korean contestants. It's always been like that. Now that they aren't forced to vote for the same number of girls from each country anymore, instead just having one singular vote, of course it would completely tip the scales towards the Korean candidates. Posting this ranking before the finale was definitely Mnet's attempt at course correction. This was a survival show where the whole gimmick was the coming together of three countries. Producing a final lineup that's almost 100% Korean would look quite strange and suspicious.

Could be fun to watch one of these shows without knowing the final lineup for once. My first watch of GP999 was after Kep1er's debut so I have yet to actually go on this kind of journey. I just hope that if any rumors about Hui being on the show are true, it's because he's a judge/mentor. After all, Soyeon was a judge on My Teenage Girl (formed CLASS:y) and Hui has been in the industry even longer than her. - Damn, team 1 really is almost Kep1er. Only Yurina and Ruiqi didn't make it there. - Man, what's up with team 2? So many amazing contestants in there but they're all so down :/ - Every time I see Bora I have to remind myself that she's not actually the leader of Cherry Bullet. She just does it so naturally. - So there was an interim ranking that was revealed a few days before EP 12 I think and it was VERY weird. I'll put it at the end of this comment or in the next one but I'll just say that a lot of the girls you'd expect to be in the Top 9 were not there. - The full versions of these performances were uploaded well BEFORE this episode and voting was also concluded before the episode. Mnet probably assumed that everyone already watched them and only showed snippets but come on, just put the full performances in the episode you cucks! - Not earphones, car speakers! - Jang Ju-hee is right. 2022-12-25 13:33:36 +0000 UTCDG many people got the same feeling than you about Bahyiiyh. did not see her too much during the show. although she performed well, she did not show incredible talent either. and even if she is cute and adorable, it's nothing compared to girls like RUAN, MYAH or MANAMI that the show has put forward a lot. so inevitably people have thought that if she was in Kep1er it is because she is the sister of.. KAI (TXT) . for me I would have preferred to see Myah or Bora in Kep1er I think that nobody would have had anything to say. but I really like HYiiYH for some reasons she reminds me a lot of Somi.

I admit that during the final I thought that at least 2 or 3 members of this group would have been in Kep1er at least Bora or Maya

As you say in a Western show there would be a lot of problem to put so many people so charismatic and with ego without having great tension. but in our shows even if they are rivals and even if they are stressed they have great respect and a spirit of camaraderie "a bit like in the Japanese shonen" the power of friendship XD

This is not the first, or 2nd, or 3rd time you mention this, and I address this every time, I appreciate you wanting everything to be in order, and continuity matters, to a degree, and I'm sorry if this comes off a bit strong, but I addressed this many times.

2022-12-25 11:25:38 +0000 UTCOK my opinion about you're next survival show is simple .i will watch boys planet on my own . but that could be great if you can react on it because for the first time you can follow in a same time as us that kind of show . and for the first time we can all have a discussion with each other without knowing who's gonna win . each week we can net on who's gonna be eliminated and for what or who's the best etc... . but i think like alway's it's better if you make a poll. but for exemple does not separate the shows PRODUCE 101 /48 /X101 etc put them all in as one poll if that show win watch it in order like an usual series season 1season 2 etc. to avoid spoilers. or watch them in order but by genre the 2 seasons for girls 101 and 48 and the 2 seasons for boys like you do with QUEENDOM and KINGDOM

Let that sink in Mnet wants to create a global group (promoted say we are going to create a group to help cater to Japan, China, and Korea to make our first Global group) and most of the girls that are left are Korean. However, don't get me wrong all of the Korean contestants are talented and skilled in their own right, but man Mnet did all of that work to make so many Chinese contestants look bad from Fu Yaning, Cai Bing, and Shu Ruiqi. The only Chinese contestant they didn't screw over is Shin Xiaoting (because Mnet wants her in the final line-up). Hot take: The Japanese contestants are only there for clout. Think about it Kotone only got recognized after her diss rap to Mnet, Shana gets shown every time a judge praises her, and Manami gets screen time when she does something cute and people react to her. Yurina, Masahiro, and Hikaru are the only ones that get amicable screen time to show off their talents and personality. I feel bad that the Japanese Girls don't get shown off more because Mnet won't give them screen time. Also Mnet hates Bahiyyih. No screen time, no storyline for her, no interactions with other girls (that we can see on camera), we don't get to see more of her personality, and we only see her on screen when she is rehearsing or performing on stage. The only thing keeping her in this show is that people are voting for her (yay!!). Like man, Mnet what is the reason for all this madness?
