The elimination episodes are definitely better when there's no knowledge of who got through and even then it was still long and annoying. But at least then the long waits made sense because there was tension/anticipation.

2024-02-14 20:01:09 +0000 UTCSo to explain something, most of the languages here: chinese, japanese, korean don't repeat subjects like engliish does (ex: restating I when talking about yourself) If it's understood what you are talking about the subject often isn't stated at all. The i, i, i repetition is the translation. They're asked questions about themselves primarily so it's not weird to often have lots of "I" statements when it's translated into english. It just sticks out sometimes to us as the audience because they've been presented in a potentially self-centered way so it feels like a red flag.

Lot of people were quick to point out that mnet is being shady to the trainees but nobody is saying anything how the masters can be "evil edited" too. Sunmi especially got a lot of hate because of it.

And she's friends with Dreamcatcher's Handong! - That must be so freaky. Come into a room and there's 10+ people in formation all going a̴͙̍a̶̡̽a̵̲͘a̶̛̖ä̸̫ḁ̷̌a̵͕̽a̸͉͒ȃ̶̻a̵͇͋ - It's really not that complicated. They were just told to go to a room without knowing the song that belongs to the room. Song is revealed as soon as everyone is there. But they already have their own guess based on who's in the room. - It's Mnet, they milk EVERYTHING. - Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt. - And that's why I didn't want Kep1er to participate in Queendom 2. It was way too soon after GP999. What does Mnet stand to gain from dragging out these episodes so much? They must have so many people just turning off mid-episode because it's honestly really fucking boring, I just don't get it? - Shen Xiaoting, Kawaguchi Yurina, Sakamoto Mashiro, Ezaki Hikaru, Choi Yujin, Su Ruiqi, Huang Xingqiao, Cai Bing, Kim Chaehyun. 5 Kep1er members. Interesting lineup. - Well, FINALLY the top 9 stuff is done. I don't understand why they make such a big deal out of the order within top 9. It. Does. Not. Matter. At least we can now get back to the Planet Pass, that does luckily matter. - IT'S OVER. IT'S FINALLY OVER. I WILL NEVER WATCH THIS AGAIN. - Honestly, I'd be for a completely different show next. I need a break from the Produce format after this.

Didn't find much about Su Rui Qi except she had dinner with Handong this week 😄 So I guess she's in Korea which could mean she's got business there. Yurina... well she got two singles out who are doing decent. She modeled for YSL, Dior, Prada and Fendi. And she is set to run at the "Tokyo Girls" fashion show. Also she seems to have a ton of side activities. You could say she is rather... big in Japan.

2022-12-05 19:19:51 +0000 UTC- First off, what a weird system we get here where all of the contestants divide and train their parts, and then some of them get eliminated before performing it??? So a group's main vocal might be gone, or you made choreo for 13 ppl and now you only have 6 left... What was the point? - Like Jared and Fabrice already mentioned, (one of) the biggest surprises here is Jiwon being eliminated, so let me give her a bit of a shoutout: She is the center of Cherry Bullet, she was ranked K11 before the last round, then aced that ITZY In The Morning performance with Ya Ning and Mashiro, and suddenly she is K16(!) and gets eliminated... :'( Also, she gets chosen in this episode by her team to be main vocalist, gets complimented by the coach that she was made to be main vocalist for this song, and now we will never get to see/hear it :( I hope you will react to Cherry Bullet one day so you get to see Jiwon, Bora, and May perform together. My favourite song is "Hands Up". - Also I think it's about time to address the so-called elephant in the room, and that is Huening Bahiyyih. I don't know if anyone else has already mentioned this but she was probably the biggest controversial topic. Without going into too much detail about claims that ppl were mass-buying cheap sim cards, or ppl just voting for her because she is the sister of Huening Kai, etc. (I encourage to do your own research), let me just ask you this: Do you agree with all the votes she got? Can you recall something memorable about her? Should she been given more screen time? Has she been a leader? Has she been a main vocalist? Main dancer? Unexpected good rap performance? Was she very funny? Standout expressions? Would you give her the rank she got or would you rather see a few others there? Don't get me wrong, I want the whole top 30 in the top 9, but that's just not possible. But I DO think it's interesting why her? - If I think about all the "problematic" girls so far (Fu Ya Ning, Cai Bing, one of the twins) they are all not korean. And I'll leave it at that ;) - When the episode 'started' after 45 minutes, and you joked whether you would skip it next time, I was already thinking: those were probably the most fun minutes of the entire episode :D - I'm sure Yurina was very happy for Xiaoting to be #1 but I have a feeling she was even more happy about not having to wear the #1 mark/pressure anymore. - I don't remember who was the "Android 18" in Queendom 2, but I have a hard time thinking it was Umji. Also, don't you think Cai Bing looks like Android 17?

2022-12-04 15:10:57 +0000 UTCIt's interesting that you talk about the screen time that some girls have. it is obvious that since the beginning we have seen a lot of girls like Yujin, Dayeon, Hikaru, Xiaoting, Cai bin, Fu ya ning, or mashiro for the simple and good reason that they have all been at least once or leader of their teams or at the center of a tension. but suddenly, whether for good or bad, they have more visibility than other girls. It is also interesting to see who is the most appreciated or popular among the girls. We can see how much DAYEON, WENG ZHE, XIAO TING, YUJIN or HIKARU are beloved bye the other girls

For GP999 the girls lived together for 3 months and they trained every day. for QUEENDOM the girls had their normal activity (radio, music show, promotion) at the same time as their training for QUEENDOM. but it takes less time. but actually it is a very sustained rhythm that few people could support.

2022-12-04 13:27:44 +0000 UTCTHE mission is call 'creation mission" that means the planet guardian (us the viewer of the show) can create they're team . basically we had to choose a song to highlight our favorite trainee. so quite obviously. all the best singers found themselves performing UTOPIA, the cutest performed SHOOT and all the very charismatic and good dancer girls performed SNAKE. so the girls had no choice. they might have preferred another song but the purpose of the mission was to trust their fans and the song chosen for them.

2022-12-04 13:10:46 +0000 UTCsomething else MNET and the producers of certain shows like PRODUCE X 101 or the last season of the series produce were severely punished and took very large fines and prison sentences for manipulating the votes. and therefore the CSA and the Korean audiovisual control is on their backs. For girls planet there are therefore no such problems. but actually MNET and the people who will become the agency of KEP1ER must have a long-term vision of what the group will be according to the girls who will be the winners; choose the concept of the group and the songs written for them greatly depends on the winners. if for example the winners would have been CAI BIN / FU YA NING / JIA / YOUNGEUN / SU RU QI or girls with a very big charisma the group would have had a more girls crush concept and more impactful songs. if it had been YESEO / MYAH / RIRIKA / YURINA / CHAEHYUN and BORA the concept would have been cute with very bright and girly songs. so MNET let the votes go normally and when they had the trends and saw who were the most popular and appreciated girls ik went all out by putting them more in value and giving them more screen time to the detriment other girls.

It doesn't bother me if this arrogance or self-confidence is justified. But there is a really noticeable difference between, for example, Fu ya ning and Cai bin. Fu ya ning is very sure of herself and MNET used it deliberately to create buzz and create tension between her and YUJIN but in reality Fu ya ning is rather smiling, pleasant and appreciated by others. for Cai bin, as you said, it's her leadership approach and these somewhat authoritarian decisions that make her unpopular. 2022-12-04 11:31:05 +0000 UTCThe viewers voted for what song to assign each girl to on the app. Mnet just told the girls to go to their assigned room 1-4 and revealed the song after. All the main vocals being in one room and all the charismatic intense girls in another made the song reveal kinda obvious. Kepler debuted about 2 months after the show ended and about 4 months to Queendom 2. I'm one of the people who didn't want them to be on Queendom 2 not because they didn't earn it but because doing a second survival show that soon after this and after their debut seemed like it would be too much for them. With Dayeon vs Cai Bing I think you're forgetting that mnet showed at least 4 of the salute members working on the choreo. So mnet is at least not this time being completely hypocritical. Although some people have said in the comments for the previous video that Bahiyyih helped choreograph ice cream with Dayeon but mnet only showed Dayeon and gave her all the credit so I don't know what to believe anymore :) Xu Zi Yin voluntarily dropped out of the competition after this. She looked like she was pretty done with this show when they called her name :). I believe the rumor is she was unhappy with how mnet's staff treated the Chinese contestants. Out of the 9 member teams Cai Bing got herself a spot and Dayeon got 6 members of ice cream a spot. And the ice cream team didn't get the benifit. Mnet has focused on so many of the K group members that I would have been happy with almost all of them getting the 8th spot. Suyeon, Jia, Jiwon, Jeongmin, Yeyoung, and Doah all earned a spot in my opinion. I'm still devastated that Yurina isn't in kepler. How can the person who ranked 1st out of 99 and 2nd out of 54 not even end up anywhere in the top half of the final 18. Again I'd be totaly fine if during the elimination episodes if you watched it on 1.5 speed or if you hit the 10 second button every time Yeo Jingoo is stalling. Also the separate top 9 announcement is the worst. I wonder if the top 3 in each group will or won't make it ! Will the 2nd place in a group get higher than the 1nd place? no of course not because that's not how math works :) Kim Suyeon! Kim Suyeon! Kim Suyeon! Maybe if the poll for the next show is close and needs a second round I'd suggest having a GP999 celebration episode to check out 1 song by all of the contestants who have debuted outside of kepler. Like watch one video from Lapillus, mimiirose, billlie, Yurina, cherry bullet, and anyone else I'm forgetting. Anyways loved the reaction! Thanks for making the elimination episodes bearable!
