A few pauses here and there to talk about the MV/Album and its reception for which I was very happy :)

I understand that, and you're right, we're too old for this. ;) My real gripe is with the "Kpop media" who pick up on any criticism, complaint, scandal, etc., online and then report it as if it's an actual big thing. THEY are the ones who turn it from kids being kids to something that takes on a life of it's own. A lot of the things in Kpop seem designed to create toxicity.

"controversies" in kpop are overblown because the primary audience is young. Its us who are too old for kpop, heh. Just think back to when we were younger and the reactions would make more sense

Yeah exactly, I literally say these types of things myself as I'm "not keeping up with the kids nowadays" with slang and whatnot, but so many things nowadays are being blown way out of proportion (the world in general). As far as Jisoo goes, as long as she's happy, she can do, or not do (solo) whatever she wants.

The "controversies" are an example of netizens making something out of nothing - again. It's the exact kind of thing that's dogged BP since they started. The fact remains that they've walked a fine line since they started, and not one real problem. With Jisoo and her solo, my assessment (opinion?) is that Jisoo doesn't think of herself as primarily a singer. She auditioned to be an actress, and when given the chance, she chose to act, not do a solo. I'm sure she's more than happy to be in BP, but, internally, she sees herself as an actress who sings, not the other way around. As to Kimmel, he's most popular with the older demographic. The most awkward interview BP ever had was on his show, and I was surprised that they performed on his show first. Also, in the U.S., it's an old "comedy" bit to refer to something new as "What the "kids' are listening to/doing." - said by older people. It's a bit of a self-burn in that you're saying that you're out of touch with current culture.
