2022-09-02 19:07:58 +0000 UTCJust below all the fanwars that this evaluation started, there was portion of fans who could joke about WJSN choosing Loona, Loona choosing Kepler, and Kepler choosing WJSN finally having that star wars battle to duke out for all of spacedom! π€£ Honestly, what a big ass coincidence that they would form a triangle of "below votes" like that lol I'm late but I am curious. (Referring to Hyolyn and your comment about VIVIZ feeling like a whole group, rather than a group with missing members) Does WJSN feel like a whole group here? Because they were down 3 in the beginning of episode 1, and is down 2 by the first 2.5 rounds lol But I guess it's harder to notice in big groups that you don't know very well, because I didn't notice either when I first watched Q2

2022-04-24 15:22:30 +0000 UTCbtw, a reason why WJSN could have gotten those 2 downvotes is because (and global evaluators know this) in the actual live performance, not the one edited for the show, the vocals were very unstable. So this might be why a lot of the other groups picked them, cause they saw it live

2022-04-24 14:17:46 +0000 UTCand SO WHAT by HYOLIN is better than the original it's hard to say because it's LOONA'S song. but i don't like the EDM beat in that song the HYOLIN version remove that beat and add something i like more . and even if LOONA as great vocalist HYOLIN is top 3 vocalist in this industry today so she did a great job . and the concept fit her so yes even if i don't like so what objectively it's the best performance . for the final ranking for this round it's objectively a well made ranking . if i take out my biased opinion HYOLIN deserve the first place WJSN and LOONA performance are great without mistake so it's fair .

Plus I think Sinb couldn't see her onstage so she didn't know how she did on stage she only saw that she did good during practice so she probably meant it in a way of you did great in practice I'm sure you did geat on stage too.

2022-04-24 13:45:32 +0000 UTCFOR KEP1ER i support them because for you're knowledge DG KEP1ER was created in a survival show call GIRLS PLANET 999 in that show we got 33 korean trainee 33 japanese trainee and 33 chinese trainee to make a global groups for the ASIAN music market . at the end of the show KEP1ER was created with that final line -up 6 korean girls DAYEON /YUJIN/ YOUNGEUN /BAHIYYIH /YESEO /CHAEHYUN 2 japanese members MASHIRO / HIKARU and one chinese members XIAO-TING so they language barrier is alway's a huge gap . but that happen often this day's many groups as chinese or japanese members , sometime they got har time but most of the time korean members take care of foreigner members .

2022-04-24 13:39:29 +0000 UTCi think than i can't really undesatand about EUHNA is her lack of confidence about her dance skill ? yes she's maybe a less good dancer in GFRIEND / VIVIZ but GFRIEND is well know to be an amazing dance group so she's still amoung the best female dancer of the indusry even if she do bad in that performance . idol are so hard with themself i suppose that why they're so good.

2022-04-24 12:40:30 +0000 UTC4 BRAVE GIRLS very great performance in only 7 day and with sick members in fact they're great , but they're all great that what we love in kpop . it's not hard to find the best artist in that show but it's hard to pick the worst . BRAVE GIRLS do way better than i expect at first .

2022-04-24 12:39:30 +0000 UTC3 KEP1ER I agree great song choice great performance and yes for a rookie group the creativity was here so much great idea they take risk and we can see how involve they're on this show . the DAYEON fell is not a big deal again that happen so many time in concert with many idols .and again i know than for them it's a huge shame but it's ok over all many people didn't notice that that was very quick and she recovery very well .

2022-04-24 12:36:55 +0000 UTC2 VIVIZ i 'am mad because VIVIZ as so mush experience as GFRIEND and even if they lose they're major vocal major ace YUJU they're still very great in all aspect. they're still the best dance group and so far they show nothing really impressive they can dance blind , they can dance at the 2x speed all they're chorΓ©o and in QUEENDOM they seems like a rookie group who's lack of confidence but they're performance is good .

2022-04-24 12:32:56 +0000 UTCOK to me and my experience i didn't see HYOLIN lose this competition only 2 round left and only if HYOLIN became sick or sabote herself her 2 last round that seem's very hard to not win .QUEENDOM . 1 HYOLIN nothing to say in QUEENDOM /KINGDOM strory line , the way u use the the scene ,set and proops is very important i knew since the 2first second of her performance than she will win this round , the moon ,her on a cirlce in the air , the catwoman costume already done . and cover a 12 people song is not easy .

2022-04-24 12:28:36 +0000 UTCI guess Eunha struggled with those lyrics because to her they felt really really really unnatural... Speaking of Eunha, you are right, she is cute in whatever she does. It gets really funny when she wants to be sexy but always ends up still being cute. The more I watch BG' performance the more I like it. Their concept (Now you see me) might be my favorite. I think they are also the only group whose remix I liked better than the original. I hope Minyeong will score some points in the vocal group and that they will avoid 6th place... Now my favorite part begins where the idols mingle with each other and you get to see more of their personalities. I really hope that Dayoung (WJSN) and Chuu (Loona) get to show some of their extrovert energy.

2022-04-23 23:58:40 +0000 UTCSo, here are my rankings: #6: VIVIZ This one stings. But in my opinion this was the weakest performance in this round. This all comes down to the song itself. Unnatural is my favourite WJSN title track with some absolutely insane high notes, especially from Yeonjung. Which also makes it an insanely hard song to cover. Consider this: WJSN is a 10 member group with THREE main vocalists (Soobin, Dawon and Yeonjung) and a really strong rapper (Exy). And as great as Viviz are, they don't have anything to match that. They're just three members in total that all have very similar soft vocal tones that work great for their own songs but don't really stick out here. Gfriend's main vocal was Yuju and she debuted solo before Viviz. Eunha might be the main vocal of Viviz but only by technicality. And she's amazing, don't get me wrong but in terms of sheer vocal power, she doesn't hold a candle to Yeonjung. Very few people do, to be fair. With all of that said, this cover of Unnatural is nowhere near as good as the original. It's not just Yeonjung's high notes but also Exy's rap part. SinB and Umji did their best but it's very obvious that Gfriend and Viviz are no-rapper groups. And I'm just not that big of a fan of this Spanish Flamenco(?) style of music. But that's just a subjective thing. And then the choreography. We know about Eunha's solo not being quite as strong as the rehearsals but the rest didn't really wow me either. I know that you're supposed to make the song your own but I would've loved to see a bit more of the original choreo in there. #5: Kep1er Very solid overall. Choosing Pool Party was the right call for them and I really enjoyed most of this performance. But can we PLEASE stop including Rollin in everything Brave Girls related? It sometimes feels like they just get reduced to that one song and it's bothering me a lot. Like Pool Party on its own was not good enough to them so they felt it necessary to throw Rollin in there. Not to mention that the way that Rollin was incorporated into Pool Party's chorus feels really clunky and out of place for me. The final chorus that was only Pool Party was so much better. If they had done just a straight up cover of Pool Party only, they might even have placed higher on my ranking. What I liked: The concept was a great fit for them and the dance break at the railings was awesome. And Dayeon falling off was unfortunate but she saved it really well. Overall pretty good but the others were better IMO. #4: Brave Girls REALLY impressive when you consider that they were still in recovery from Covid and Minyoung was coughing backstage. In fact, everything from here is pretty damn amazing and I don't really have anything negative to say. Just that I wish the dance break wasn't so dark. I was especially impressed with the remix and how they were really able to make this song sound like their own. #3: WJSN Fully agree with you here. Probably helps that most of WJSN's own sound could be described as "cosmic Gfriend". So of course they would do amazing with this cover. If I could give a TINY bit of criticism, Exy's rap felt a bit awkward in there but honestly, that's a nitpick. Really not much to say here. Vocals on point, amazing dance break, great song. #2: Hyolyn ok don't kill me please. This was absolutely amazing. Her starting up there in the hoop, the charisma, the stage presence, the sheer fucking confidence. And I think that this cover/remix might even be better than the original. The ONLY reason why I don't put her at #1 is because the original choreo is amazing and there wasn't that much of that here. Which I get, it's a different kind of performance and dancing in those heels cannot be easy. Also, THIS is how you incorporate a second song into a cover. PTT came totally unexpected but it really worked while not overstaying its welcome. Amazing, damn near perfect. A performance I will surely rewatch a lot. #1: Loona Yes, I will fully admit that I'm biased. But this was just perfect in every way. I don't think I really need to explain much about that, you know what I mean.

However, I think every group is making a mistake by not using it. The potential point lost is minimal, but strategically it helps endear you to the other group's fandom which might make them a little more likely to pick your group as the second group that they liked (since they have to pick two groups). SWF was indeed a dance competition show. Rather than the focus on individual members, it was about dance crews. So rather than individual people getting eliminated, it would be whole dance crews. Obviously, the leaders of each of the crews took the most focus, because they were the leaders for a reason. One of the more famous non-leaders on the show was Chaeyeon, who was previously a member of IZ*ONE and the older sister of Chaeryeong of Itzy. She and her sister also competed in Sixteen, which was the show that Twice was formed on.

Or Viviz, who got picked a bunch last week? Really their only options were Brave Girls and Loona, and given that Loona performed right after WJSN's own performance at the start of the round, it is understandable that some of the other performances might have left a bigger mark on them after a long night of shooting. From what I heard, they were up until like 7 am filming first the performances and then the score reveal after. - Hyolyn performed second in the first round. Viviz, who got the most below votes in the first round performed first. Seems to be the luck of all the first performers this season. - Maybe the battery died on Hyolyn's mic and they didn't realize it at that point? - My picks pretty much fell in line with how the rankings were here. The only change is that I would put Brave Girls above Kep1er. It is not that I think Kep1er did bad, but of all the songs, I liked it the least just because I don't really like cutesy songs all that much and the rest of the performance didn't do enough to push them over the edge for me. While I haven't watched this episode before now, I did check out all of the performances before and Kep1er's was the only one I didn't feel like watching more than once. - The rest were all really close in my mind, and wouldn't be made at any movement along with the rankings between them. Well besides, Hyolyn, because she absolutely deserved first. - I really hope Brave Girls kill it next time because they don't deserve to be removed from the show. - The women in the preview are from Street Women Fighter (SWF), which was the dance crew show featured in Jessi's Cold Blooded. - It appears that some of the groups have multiple members showing up to the unit section, so it might work differently than the previous season. - So tomorrow they are supposed to be recording the unit stages, and then on Monday, they will be performing the fan-dora (or whatever it is called this time) stages. I'm making my guess here and now that WJSN will be doing Pantomime.

Not to say that I'm not guilty of this. I did post something like 20 NCT song suggestions under your Glitch Mode reaction. I try to restrain myself now because I can imagine how long your list is already. So yeah, reactions to the original MVs for the Queendom songs would be cool. But don't feel the need to rush yourself. These songs aren't going anywhere. I have been into Kpop for two years now and there are STILL some huge artists that I haven't had the time to check out (Apink, iKON, Pentagon, Super Junior, AOA, Lovelyz, The Boyz, 2NE1, etc.). And I don't even make reaction videos, so I'm able to listen to more songs in a shorter amount of time. So please, take your time and do things at your own pace. I don't want you to get any sort of burn out over this. Yeah, your pronounciation of WJSN is actually pretty spot on! SinB did decently for the rap but she's attempting one of Exy's best verses and Exy is a monster. Only rapper in a 10 member group and she dominates every song. Trying to match her is a very tall order. The chorus of Unnatural is also really difficult because it's so insanely fast. "Mnet are a bunch of cucks" SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK. They messed with the audio in Viviz's performance to make Eunha sound worse than she performed. She actually hit a much higher high note than you can hear here. Agreed on Eunha's dance break. The lift wasn't as good as the rehearsals. And it sounds harsh, but how well you did during practice is irrelevant. The final performance is the only thing that counts. But on the other hand, her saying that she can't dance is just flat out wrong. When Gfriend were still together, they used to do blindfolded dance practice videos and even though they couldn't see anything, everyone was always perfectly in sync and in the correct positions. Gfriend were always known as amazing dancers and that includes Eunha! I'll put my complete thoughts about the performances in a separate ranking comment. I have some opinions about several things, including if it feels like someone's missing. And your neverending crush on Kim Lip continues. I honestly don't know if you'll survive first encounter with her solo song, whenever you get to it :D So to explain about Brave Girls' After We Ride, the Korean title is μ λ²λ¦ which translates to "drinking habits". It's about how they would drown their heartbreak in alcohol after the relationship broke apart in We Ride. MAYBE not the best fit for a group with a 16 yo member :D Pool Party is weird. You can probably guess what it's about but the MV is entirely set in a bowling alley and a roller rink with no pool in sight. No idea what happened there. Falling off the stage is bad but she managed to save it quite well and I think that's the most important thing. And man, first round with the hourglass, now with the soap, is every round going to involve someone slipping? Hyolyn submarine lmao. You've probably already heard this but μ λ°°λ (sunbaenim) is an honorific expression that means "senior", as in an artist who debuted before you and thus has more experience. So What is a very important song for Loona because it brought them their first music show win. Unfortunately it was only with 11 members because Haseul was on hiatus at that time for mental health reasons. PTT then got them their second win, now with Haseul back. And YES SO WHAT REACTION. Man, you're really building yourself this image of Loona as a badass girl-crush group with you checking out their two darkest and loudest songs first :D Welp, now you know who won Kingdom. It'll probably still be worth watching. They had no live audience because of the pandemic so they could do some real crazy stuff with the camerawork. I really wish that picking someone a level higher was mandatory. Because this right here is boring. Nobody is gonna pick someone above them because it just doesn't make any sense strategically. They should be forced to make an actual choice here. When the global votes were announced, the Kep1er members thanked the audience in three different languages: Bahiyyih in English, Mashiro in Japanese and Xiaoting in Chinese. Yeah, Loona getting Covid is basically what saved Brave Girls from elimination in this round. Looks like the next episode will feature a collab with Street Woman Fighter. I think that was a dance competition show? I haven't seen it. But those girls were featured in Jessi's Cold Blooded MV if you remember that. 2022-04-23 17:28:45 +0000 UTC- Looks like it is another episode of ignoring the fact that Yujin isn't a rookie and is quite a bit older than the youngest members. - I always feel bad for foreign members who have to live away from their families. Wendy of Red Velvet is one such example. While she is Korean, her family lives in Korea. For many years when the rest of the group would go home to their families during the holidays, Wendy would just end up alone in their dorms. - Oh man, slipping off the stage is horrible. - With Yujin and WJSN both having issues with props making the floor dangerous, I hope groups are more careful with what props are brought in for round 3 and the finale. - Hyolyn is certainly unbeatable this round. I wouldn't count others out from winning the whole thing though.

It's probably my 2nd favorite Loona choreo (Butterfly being #1 of course bc that one's not just a Loona masterpiece but one of the whole of K-pop's finest masterpieces)

The short hair also really fits her. - SinB and Eunseo's connection is always so cute. - Of their title tracks, Unnatural is my favorite of WJSN (not including unit songs because Chocome and The Black's songs are sooooo good) - I really like that they are including Exy's rap in their version, especially since Viviz/Gfriend doesn't really do raps so it would have been easy to skip over or pick a song without a rap (which is to say pick a Chocome song). BTW SinB's name is a stage name. Her real name is Eunbi. Eunha's real name is also Eunbi. They obviously had to change things so people wouldn't confuse them. - I wonder if Viviz and WJSN will have similar costumes for round 3, since they did for both round 1 and 2. - While it doesn't top the original, I still really enjoyed this version of Unnatural. They did a really good job of transforming the song and making it their own, along with just putting on a great performance that makes full use of the stage.
