Dev Diary 1

Phew it's been a lot these past couple of weeks - but the team has been chugging away behind the scenes to clean up some bits and bobs of our gameplay features.

1. We've added named saves to our game! It's a pretty common ask, so we figured it out and made sure it worked on RENPY. Big props to our programmer who makes the magic happen.

2. We've been re-shooting and re-rendering the very first scene from the demo, what we call 'the Apartment scene', because this scene was the first we ever created and had only bare bones and some questionably old rigs to work with - now we have better sets and we now have some of the beastiest machines available to us to render all in high res quickly. This scene includes an all-new spicy scene (that ends a little differently ;)...) in a new set - so expect something a little bit different when the next patch drops.

3. We've spoken to Patreon directly after some back and forth re their regulations and have decided to go with their advice and remove the 'step' relation element of our story in order to stay on this platform, despite our story not including a step-relation kink. This was hard to swallow, but we think we have a great solution - that'll be in the updated demo patch we'll release. It doesn't change much. Just a matter of the Duke not quite making it to the wedding...

4. We've been slowly releasing our community updates, with our Girls of the Week polls ticking along nicely - as well as our Discord going live. There aren't a lot of people to chat currently, but we wanted to offer this early for our Founders and ensure Discord has legs BEFORE we need it to.

5. We're ticking some wishlist things off as a team right now, mainly workshopping how we want our relationship meters/system to work and how to robustly carry that data over for our players into the future seasons so you don't have to repeat yourselves a thousand times. You. are. welcome. This will implemented in the full Episode One drop.

6. Also in the writer's corner, is the storyline madness. With so many endings to consider, we (I) am working hard to write script paths that don't bleed into each other. We are taking the time and attention to detail to make this feel as streamlined as possible.
