I know they're supposed to be usurpers- the big bad of the story, uprooters of packs, apparently willing to kill Swift's family, having sinister undertones... But so far the Zenith seem kinda... Lit? Even the presence of a retirement community quelled my fears that actually bison are culled as sacrifices for the wolves. A "you are all equals... until we decide you are the one who dies." Situation. Maybe they truly do eat only those who die naturally, and perhaps wild prey.
