Art Preview: Sayori Alter Ending CG

Heeey, cakes!

Our first new CG of the month wraps up the new ending to the Sayori Alter storyline, so spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't read that yet as a short summary of it is to follow, along with some more complete sketches of the CG in progress.

The ending gives us a window into life for Kyou and Sayori after the resolution of their Penlight misadventure, as they join Nozomi for a tabletop roleplaying game. Hiroko tags along too, seen here yelling at Kyou to get his head out of the clouds and help them solve a problem they're having in the fantasy world.

I'm going to use this CG to illustrate the entire ending scene, so this one's going to have a lot of expression changes to rival the girl's in-game sprites. Here we see Nozomi, the host and game master, telling her players of an approaching enemy while Hiroko and Sayori contemplate their next move.

So they play for a bit, then Hiroko interrupts the game for a moment to ask about how Sayori's been doing since the last time we've seen her, and generally everyone's just getting along great! Kyou may have lost a penlight that could somehow control minds but seems to have finally found friends in the girls who formerly shunned him. And none more so than Sayori, who thanks to him has finally found some balance in her life.

The next update to Penlight should be sometime later this week, so look forward to seeing this CG completed for that~
