Art Preview: Another Sayori Alter Storyline CG

Hiya, cakes!

We're sticking with illustrating the latest scenes from Sayori's new story path. This CG in fact comes immediately after the CG from last time. So once again, spoiler warning for the description and image links below:

As Kyou feels himself falling under the spell of the penlight, he suddenly wakes up to the sound of snapping fingers and the sight of Sayori and Nozomi watching him curiously on the bed. But wait, wasn't HE on that bed? What just happened?

The pair exchange a curious look with each other before they go on to explain: Kyou was indeed entranced by the penlight as wielded by Sayori, and afterwards she set him some instructions to carry out while entranced which is why he's now standing before them. Still, the fact that he can't remember doing any of it strikes Kyou as a little strange...

One of those instructions, incidentally, was for Kyou to remove those penlight-induced suggestions he'd placed in Sayori's mind earlier. That suggestion compelling her to sleep so deeply at night, but most importantly the one that made Sayori switch to a completely different personality. The very reason for all of this drama and chaos that had Sayori so afraid of the penlight to begin with.

When Kyou is encouraged to speak the trigger phrase to awaken Sayori's Alter personality and it doesn't work, Sayori is elated. She's finally free of the penlight's terrifying influence and her life can maybe go back to normal. But what does this mean to Kyou? Does that mean his penlight really can control minds? That was what Sayori was hoping to prove to him, but surely that can't be true? There has to be another explanation for all this scary weirdness...

We'll have this CG ready in time for the next game update, which I'll try to get out for early next week along with some additional script for the remaining scenes in this storyline. Hope you're looking forward to it~
