Early Access 0.1576.1: Reversal Storyline Additions

Gosh, working on the Reversal route again after all these years away has proved to be every bit the slog that I expected it to be. While I didn't make anywhere near as much progress I hoped to make, I was able to push past the writer's block I had with this thing and get some forward momentum going that I hope to take into next month so I can finally finish the darned thing. And in the meantime, I hope those who've been patiently wanting to see this storyline continued will enjoy the script I have laid out :)
So what else was accomplished this month? Well, with Reversal not being ready for new artwork I had two new CGs commissioned for Hiroko's original storyline and they both turned out lovely!
In-between struggling with Reversal I also took some time out to work on the Penlight side project that I'm going to start talking about more openly next month (albeit only on my Discord because of... reasons). Some of the side project work even found its way into the main game~ I made some tweaks to the text display, making the letters pop a bit more with a thick bold outline and lighter background. I think it looks great, showing off more of the game's visuals while keeping the text nice and legible, so I went ahead and added it to Penlight as well. There's also an option to remove the background entirely, which you can access via the preferences menu in-game.
And that wraps up another wretched summer month~ Hopefully August won't be too heatwavey as I continue working out the Reversal story where we'll finally see some new artwork and, fingers crossed, a conclusion to the path I started all those months ago.
