A new challenger appears!
We meet Akiko during Sayori's new storyline, where we learn she's this school's student council president. She's actually an old character that I left behind in a much earlier version of Penlight, before I'd even called it Penlight. Back then the student council was much more central to the plot but as I threw that idea away with the current version Akiko got written out as well.
Recent developments gave me a reason to involve the student council again and give me an excuse to bring her back, albeit in a different role storywise. She's gotten a bit of a makeover too, to distinguish her more from the other girls.
Anyway, look forward to seeing her in next week's early access build, plus another surprise or two along the way~
