Art Preview - Hiroko Rooftop Scene CG

SPOILER WARNING - As usual, this art preview article contains spoilers, this time for Hiroko's "Ticklish hands" (I don't have a good name for it) storyline. Click the links in the article below if you want to see the full image previews.

Hey, cakes!

This time I've had another art done for Hiroko's newer storyline, following on from her last CG. There's a ton of potential for CGs on this path, but I thought this would be a neat one to have leading up to the ending~

So, after a little heart to heart Hiroko and Kyou have realized that they trust each other pretty deeply following a week of arguing and shenanigans around the penlight. And when it comes down to it, Kyou knows Hiroko's right that he shouldn't keep that thing around anymore now that they know what it does. He decides to resolve things by chucking the thing off the roof; a flashy and also slightly stupid move as Hiroko's quick to realize.

She charges into Kyou, pushing him away from the roof's edge to stop people from below being able to identify him (and possibly getting him suspended from school). They both crash to the floor, and they regard each other with an awkward glare.

Kyou at first is angered. This was a ruse to get him to discard the one thing he has over her and everyone else at the school and now Hiroko's free to push him around and treat him like shit again. Feeling sorry for himself is kind of Kyou's default state, and it's a hard thing to shake apparently.

But it quickly passes as he knows he's being ridiculous, and it dawns on him why she did what she did. Hiroko pretty much confirms his thoughts as, in response to the realization dawning on his face, she smirks playfully at him. Things really have changed between these two and the penlight being gone isn't going to affect that. It's a liberating moment, and the pair of them laugh happily together, cementing their friendship.

I really liked the idea of using this kind of girl-falling-on-boy setup as a bonding moment in a platonic friendship instead of having any serious romantic tension like it normally would. Anyway, I'm hopeful that this will be finished and joining Nozomi's new CG in this weekend's early access release. See you then!
