Early Access Release 0.1511 - More Sayori Alter Stuff & Nozomi Story Update

 'Sup, cheesecakes! February's just started but already I got an early access release for you ^.^

Note - I drop some spoilers for Penlight's story in this post, so be advised if you haven't read everything you wanted to yet.

Although I planned to get a mini update release out for you folks the other week, the work I ended up doing turned out to be more substantial than I realized and releasing it unfinished wouldn't be useful, so I ended up keeping it for this release. Anyway, there's now a full conclusion to one of the other choices in Sayori's second Alter path, where Kyou sides with Alt-Sayori towards the end. I don't want to give away what happens, but it's a doozy. 

Once that was done I turned my attention to something I've been wanting to do for a while, which was to re-examine Nozomi and her storylines, and their relationship to the rest of the game. 

Nozomi's original storyline was pretty much written as a foil to the Delusion route, back when that was the only path through the game. It still works fine as a contrast to that, but of course since then Nozomi's friends got their own routes and the supposed object of Kyou's obsession got a little sidelined as a result.  Also, people seem to get the impression that Penlight is a very anti MC-kink game, what with the villain routes all ensuring Kyou never gets a genuinely happy ending (as he damn well deserves) and the good Nozomi ending resulting in Kyou seemingly giving up everything he worked for in order to placate his new friends.

So... I want to make some tweaks and wholesale additions. Now that I broke out of the 6 day + epilogue narrative box with the new Sayori stuff, I think I can do the same with Nozomi's stories as they could do with more time to breathe while also creating some extra opportunities for silly and/or kinky fun before things get out of hand. Making it clear that the penlight, which pretty much obliterates the notion of consent and is next to impossible to use safely, is the thing that needs to go and not his interest in mesmerism would be a good thing to make clear as well.

Also: Generally fleshing out Nozomi's character some more, and selling the notion that you can entertain and even enact fantasies as dark as you like so long as you're not hurting anybody (which is sorta there in the current script but delivered in a very clumsy matter-of-fact kinda way).

As a final bit of news, this is also the update where the total word count for Penlight passed 150,000! I know word count is no indicator of quality of content but still, I'm pretty chuffed at the achievement, and if this rambling post tells you anything, it's that there's so much more to come!
