I have been very concerned lately about optimizing the game for lower end machines. I think functioning lights during the night time are a necessity and removing them in lower graphical settings is not an option. It'a a fact that the areas are super dark at night; I have tried making them lighter, but it always ends up looking bad an unrealistic. Night is dark and it should remain as that unless there's lights in the area.

After much thinking on how to optimize this, I finally came up with the solution; I'll add a rendering distance slider to the graphical settings. I really should have thought about this sooner. Lower render distances will increase performance massively in older machines.

Another issue I have been thinking about  is the nauseating movement (for some) in VR.

I could easily implement a teleporting system, but that would create a bunch of other problems and it's easily exploitable during gameplay.

A solution I have been thinking about is that instead of having the camera smoothly follow the player, I'll have it "blink" every second or so to the current position. Of course I'll add a pointer to your invisible body so you know where you are walking to. This should solve the motion sickness issue without breaking the gameplay in the process.

I'd like to hear the thoughts of VR users about this.

Lastly, I'd like to hear what kind of minigames you'd like to see in demo 2. Looking for simple ideas, nothing too complex  👀

That's for now.
