Graphical settings
Added 2017-05-16 13:42:36 +0000 UTCStarting with this month's build you'll be able to tune the graphical settings in-game.
The most notable feature will be being able to switch between forward and deferred rendering at the press of a button. The game currently runs in forward rendering by default. Deferred rendering should run much better if you have enabled a lot of filters and it also allows for an unlimited amount of real-time lights with little impact on framerate. The catch is that the antialiasing is much worse on deferred mode, so you will see a lot more jagged edges compared to forward.
You can now also make all the lamps in the town illuminate in real time. This was way too taxing for previous builds, but with deferred rendering it's a breeze.
You can even play in forward mode during day time, for best graphics, and then switch to deferred at night so the lights actually work.
Of course you can ignore all of this if you don't care. The presets that you can pick in the launcher are still there :3
Some pics:
no filters, everything disabled:

Default "hero quality" preset (motion blur, HBAO, bloom, HDR, Temporal AA)

A bunch of useless filters :3 (all of the above, vignette, extra bloom, cinematic effect, chromatic aberration, depth of field)

Lights that actually work:

I also remade the terrain of the town to 1/4 of the old size (there was a lot of empty space). The area should run better now.
Also added some new areas and a small lake.
That's all for now!
