It's amazing how every time I research lighting I learn so much new stuff.

I don't know if it looks any good in the grand scale but it's certainly much better than it was before. 

The bad news is that the new settings have an impact on performance. The good news is that it's almost entirely impact on the GPU(that was almost unused before) so your CPU shouldn't receive much more strain than in previous builds.

If anyone is wondering why this game drains so much CPU it's because it uses Unity™'s realtime global illumination, that means that every light and shadow are calculated in real time. I might change it to traditional baked illumination in the future if it gets out of control but I really want smooth transitions between night time and daytime on the island which is only possible with realtime lights.


For older rigs I'll keep the new bloom and SSAO only in max settings so it should't be any different from before if you don't run the game on "fantastic"... shouldn't.


Now I'll research some ways to make cum look decent, I want Adeline's scene to be great!
