2025-10-01 00:41:45 +0000 UTCYou just kind of accept that kids can go off on their own when they reach in this franchise lol, to be fair, the same is true in a lot of fantasy anime like Hunter X Hunter and Naruto. It's just a bit messed up when you know the games on multiple occasions acknowledge that yes, Pokemon have killed people and some do it just for fun, the devs have a dark sense of humour at times, but we'll get to that later lol. Now that we've met May's family I feel like I can finally bring this up, out of the 9 current Pokemon game generations May is the only main playable character who actually has a father, every other playable character only has a mum for some reason, it's the same reason we've never seen Ash's dad (unless you count Oak), because his counterpart from the games doesn't have one.
