2025-02-28 20:26:37 +0000 UTCyeah... Danny speaking to Misty like that is kind of creepy... she's 10... and he's clearly a lot older, he probably didn't mean anything by it... but still. I have to say, Danny probably has the most generic background character looking designs we've seen in Pokémon, I think it's an issue all the Orange Island gym leaders have to an extent. The Orange Islands aren't based on anything from the games, it's an original arc for the anime while they waited for permission to start using more things from the next games, so Ken Sugimori the lead artist for the games didn't have a hand in their designs, and it honestly shows, you will see some characters from the games pop up later in this arc though. That's not to say I think the arc is bad, I actually like the idea of Ash having to go through different challenges to win Gym badges, the bobsledding race is a neat idea.
