so Daima is honestly one of my favourite things in all of Dragon Ball now, it has that sense of adventure and Toriyama charm that I felt like Super was missing at times. It's some of Toriyama's best writing honestly, and a beautiful swansong to his legacy. It's amazing how it somehow has elements of everything he's worked, the adventurous feel of early Dragon Ball, the amazing fights from each era, villains that represent each era, and little nods even to GT and Dr Slump and the games, and the fantastic story telling and world building from Dragon Quest and the other games he's worked on. And somehow on top of that the series is even able to flip our understanding of the world on its head again like Toriyama did many times throughout the series, like when we first met god (Kami) or when Goku was revealed to be an alien, or when we met Future Trunks, now we find out most species with point ears are actually demons now, it brings Namekians full circle in a clever way, "Demon King Piccolo" wasn't just a title, he was a literal demon, Namekians aren't just slug like Aliens, they're full on demons again.
