For some reason seeing Doc happy at that island makes me happy. Despite the fact that they were fleecing him I still like to think that they care about him. That phony festival is probably the annual highlight of their dreary lives. At the end Georgios is counting the money out loud saying, "2002 - 2003 - 2004", the show was greenlight by Adult Swim in the year 2002, the original pilot, "The Terrible Secret of Turtle Bay", first aired in 2003, and the series proper debuted in 2004. I figured that one out.
