Oh, here's something, Jeeg has special move called Jeeg Breaker. Very wrestling like, it's basically Jeeg bear hugging the enemy to death. This is the kinda stuff why I adore Go Nagai mech, only in his wacky mind would that be special attack.

2025-01-24 01:16:06 +0000 UTCI never actually saw the original Kotetsu Jeeg, but apparently Kotetsushin Jeeg has the same issue as Getter Armageddon in that they ignore the continuity of the previous story in favor of an alternate universe take were certain events did not happen. Apparently Professor Shiba dies in the original series and Himika is defeated at the halfway point, with a new, crappier villain taking her place. The OG Jeeg, Shiba Hiroshi instead sealing her and her minions away as seen in story. Also, Himika was notably more modest in the OG series compared to here. The more sexy Himika, the fanservice and what not is Go Nagai is on full display here, since it's intended for fans who were in their 30's.

2025-01-23 23:37:19 +0000 UTCAs can see, Kenji is Issei and Kouichi's predecessor in look and personality, given that the author of DxD and Daimidaler makes a number of mecha references, it's likely he may have modeled them after Kenji, especially Kouichi since he has the classic Go Nagai hot blooded sideburns and everything about him and Daimidaler makes you think Go Nagai could have wrote it.
