And to be honest I believe he is not really aligned with Blackbeard but just spying and staying close to the enemy. Aokiji does have a kind heart remember when he gave Robin his blessings to stay with the Straw Hats and remember we thought Saul was dead but Aokiji let him live. I think Aokiji is one of those complex characters that doesn't show his motives and thoughts at face value. Garp vs Aokiji is going to be a hell of a fight!

It honestly makes me look forward to seeing a potential God Valley flashback because imagine how strong Rocks D. XEBEC was if it took BOTH Roger and Garp teaming up to defeat him.

2024-11-08 15:19:11 +0000 UTCIf Garp is nuking towns with a single blow at 78, the prime Garp that used to fight constantly against Roger, Whitebeard, and Kaido in their primes must've been a complete monster. It took everything we had to bring down a 59 year old Kaido and Blackbeard gave up on taking Boa's devil fruit cuz a 78 year old Rayleigh said "no". It's as if having Roger alive setting the bar made everyone stronger on average back in the day.
