2024-11-01 21:09:51 +0000 UTCSo, as someone who's gone through the nightmare of navigating the original manga, I don't offer a defense for Baki's writing but explanation that the writer suffers from Serious grammatical issues to say the least., and even after editing its still fairly rough and translating it does not help in the slightest. That and adhering undyingly to the trope "When the truth becomes legend, print the legend." and "It works because it says it works". So as for the pound for pound thing, I think he was trying to refer to Ali being someone who focused on speed and technique over overwhelming power like most heavyweights, in this case foreman, would do. No excuses for the romance though, man only understands Brotherly Manhood, not women XD. As always though great Content, and thank you for always uploading daily.

2024-11-01 15:58:03 +0000 UTCSo I love this fight, but I still have some feelings about it. Baki lost the fight, which honestly I feel would do more for him as a person. Baki has never been one to only win, as he has repeatedly lost fights throughout the series. But this felt like it was one he needed to win. On the other hand there is the point that was made. Baki was going to win the fight using Martial Arts, decided to stop using it and was going to win with brute force alone. Pickle was forced to use martial arts to beat Baki in an unspoken agreement to just throw hands. Great Fight. I kind of Wish Baki would have just won, especially since Pickle kind of needed an L. But whatever.
