Love's Heart - Kokoro anime version

Hello everyone!

As I mentioned before, I'm still working on the RPG Maker version of Love's Heart. I won’t be able to publish it on Steam, but it remains my most well-known and supported game, so even though I’m working on the remake in parallel, I’ll continue to develop the original version — and that’s exactly what I’m doing right now.

As you already know, I’ve had the idea of improving the graphics to give the game more visual quality stuck in my head for quite some time. I’ve finally decided to trust the artist I’m currently working with — the one who made the latest illustrations for Lesbian Island — to remake one of the game’s characters in anime style. For now, I’ve only asked for one character because I wanted to see how her style would turn out, and because I was really excited to see her in anime version. It’s Kokoro, of course, one of the most popular characters in the game. A few weeks ago, I showed you her anime version made with AI, but of course I won’t be using AI-generated graphics for the actual game characters, so today I’m bringing you these sketches of the character.

Just to clarify — these are SKETCHES, she’s not finished yet. I think the artist managed to capture the character’s age and maturity quite well; she looks more grown-up than the original Kokoro or the AI-generated Kokoro. Maybe with characters like this, Steam wouldn’t have rejected the game, haha — but anyway. Since the game won’t be on Steam regardless, I’ve decided the characters will keep wearing sailor uniforms. After all, that way we don’t have to worry about designing a different outfit for each of them.

What do you think of her? Once she’s finished, I’ll do a poll on my Patreon to ask for your opinion. If the majority of people hated her, I guess I’d sadly give up on the idea of replacing the original characters with these anime versions. But if it turns out that most of you support this anime-style version of the characters, I think I’ll gradually start replacing all the game’s art with it. If opinions are divided… ugh, I probably won’t go through with it — it would be a lot of money for something that wouldn’t even have majority support.
